5.0 out of 5 stars Mouth-watering in every way, 28 Nov. 2012

This is a most beautifully presented book both in terms of the recipes and the stunning photographs, which makes it one to pick up and browse over with pleasure every so often, as well as being one to treasure. I'm not much of a cook, but I've been to Persia and I adored the food, so I am going to try out the recipes!

5.0 out of 5 stars A brilliant book for garden lovers who want to know more., 28 Nov. 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This book is beautifully presented in that it is hardback, the print is clear and the illustrations most attractive. The contents are very informative and interesting, and it is also a great pleasure to read. It is therefore fantastic value for money. I gave this book as a present to a friend (a gardening fan) and she loved it equally. It is such an excellent book that I want to get another copy for myself!

5.0 out of 5 stars Cutting Away: The Linocuts of Robert Gillmor, 19 Mar. 2012
Robert Gillmor is a highly talented illustrator of birds and I was delighted to find this book after collecting his greetings cards of birds (whenever I came across them) over some years. Apart from being a great draughtsman, he is highly observant of his subject and captures the essence of all these wonderful birds. The artist's anecdotes accompanying the linocuts are refreshing and charming to say the least. As for the book itself, the illustrations are supberbly reproduced. In conclusion: Brilliant!
