5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Deep Blues for the Older Conniseur!!!!!!!, 14 May 2013
This review is from: Didn't It Rain (Audio CD)
Excellent Album if you like Deep Blues that sounds like it has come from the Deep South during the Depression.
I thought this album was really fantastic and Hugh Laurie does a fantastic job in recreating that Old Blues Feel from maybe the 1920's.
I enjoyed every minute of this but this album is definitely not one for the under 40's.

5.0 out of 5 stars Arise!!! Sir Rod - Brilliant Album by a Brilliant Living Legend!!, 14 May 2013
This review is from: Time (Audio CD)
You have to give loads of admiration to Rod Stewart,
His new Album "Time" has all the tracks written by the maestro himself and boy has he still got it.
The Vocals are relaxed and this is his best album in years.
I thought since he was doing all these Great American Songbook and Xmas and Soul Covers that he was in fact retiring his unique voice but on this album he sounds better than ever!!!
This album although not as vocally strong and raw as "Every Picture Tells a Story" is definitely on a Par with it.
It's Over a song about Divorce is Brilliant and the rest of the album in fact all of the tracks are Fantastic and i think this is Rods Best Album for Decades.
Every Picture Tells a Story is a great album and all of these tracks are back to Rod when he was at his peak with a lot of the tracks produced in a similar way with all the Mandolins and violins etc and Boy as he still got it.
I think it about time we said Arise Sir Rod Stewart as he almost definitely deserves it with the Joy he has brought to the British and Worldwide Music Industry.
I would almost definitely put this among Rod's Greatest Albums although he has made some duff one's in his time but this must surely rank among one of his best.
11/10
A Must Buy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent but needs WIFI to read and is sometimes slow, 1 May 2013

This review is from: Daily Star (App)
This is an excellent App if you like to read The Daily Star and subscribe as you get the full newspaper run by Page Suite software.
Great if you have a WIFI Connection but is very slow to load up and sometimes the download of the paper stops and starts and you are looking at a Big Red Screen for ages.

3.0 out of 5 stars A Touch of Grey but not the Force of Old!!!!!, 29 April 2013
This review is from: Now What ?! (Audio CD)
Deep Purple are Legends of Heavy Rock and let's not forget that.
The sheer musicianship and grandiose skill of Messiah's Blackmore,Lord,Paice,Glover and Gillan in the MKII line up and the classic albums such as In Rock,Fireball,Machine Head and Made in Japan etc will be forever etched into everyone's Hard Rock memory.
Deep Purple although still going strong are not getting any younger but the full force of there Live Shows and Aggresive in your Face style Hard Rock of the 70's has long passed and now the Band has become a Touch of Grey and are now more of a mellowed out Band.
NOW WHAT!! is a very good album and is a lot better and Ian Gillan seems to have reached his more mellowed vocal range and is not the screamer of old which is understandable.
Ian Paice still has the skill and so does Don Airey for the Solo's on the Album.
Hell to Pay is a good track sounds like the Deep Purple of old and Don Airey is definitely a brilliant keyboardist and who was always going to be the perfect replacement for Jon Lord (RIP).
Although a very good album, i think judging by there past catalogue this album will become like all the other albums with Steve Morse and forgotten very quickly unlike the MKII and MKIII line ups which are the albums that define Deep Purple and are forever etched into your Heavy Rock Memory.
Jon Lord can be replaced but Ritchie Blackmore NEVER!!!!!!
Although a very good album Deep Purple are not the force of old but i would still pay to go and see them live for Nostalgia's sake.

This Music Player is Excellent and does everything it should after paying for the unlocked version.
I would definitely use this as my main Music Player for the Kindle Fire HD as it is the best at the moment but i would still say that POWERAMP is the UlLTIMATE!!!!!! so when are Amazon going to let us start downloading POWERAMP from it's App Store or is there some kind of competition or legal issue.
