1.0 out of 5 stars BORING!!!!!!, 6 Dec. 2013
This review is from: Mtv Unplugged (Audio CD)
I have to say that The Scorpions are one of my favourite Hard Rock Bands of all time but what i do detest is when they do these kind of albums for MTV Unplugged.
The Trouble here is that The Scorpions are a Heavy Hard Rock Outfit and have made loads of Great Albums and Live Albums and it does not suit them going Acoustic.
It's a bit like Iron Maiden,Slayer,Anthrax ,Accept or UDO going Acoustic and comes across as BORING!!!!
I have got all the other Scorpions Albums and they are all Brilliant except this which even though played Acoustically well the whole thing seems like a singalong which is not what The Scorpions are about.
I would put this record back in it's sleeve and file away for it never to be played again compared to Love At First Sting,Savage Amusement,Live Bites,Crazy World and Blackout etc which are all classic Scorpions.
Even the front cover is total rubbish and i just do not understand why Heavy Metal Bands go down this Acoustic Route as it goes against the Grain.
Instead of having guest Metal Gods like say Rob Halford,Tony Iommi etc we get Morten Harket from A-Ha and some other guy no one has heard of!!
In all Very Boring!!!!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Album to Chill Out Too!!!!, 26 Nov. 2013
This review is from: Swings Both Ways (Audio CD)
This is more like it!!!
I have never been a great fan of Robbie Williams when he was with Take That but on his own as a solo artist he delivers some great material.
I especially liked his first Swing Album "SWING WHEN YOUR WINNING" and this one is just as good if not better.
Every Track is sung Brilliantly and the Guest Vocalists are fantastic as well.
Well worth Buying and Robbie seems to go from strength to strength.
Also i think Olly Murs has come a long way too since his first album and has shrugged off the X Factor tag and is also getting better and better.
Robbie Williams has released some classic tracks and has built himself a great catalogue of songs and i think is miles better than Gary Barlow who can only look on in envy at his mate progresses
as "SWING BOTH WAYS" is a great swing album.

1.0 out of 5 stars Greatest Hits after only 4 Albums = Total Joke!!!!!, 18 Nov. 2013
Don't get me wrong, i think JLS are the most over-produced Band i have ever heard.
Everything is done using Dubs and Overdubs with Synthesisers which you get on nearly every single Ministry of Sound or Club Ibiza Compilation
and are all smiles,six-packs,white teeth and FAKE!!!! to the point that you want to pull your hair out everytime they come on the radio.
What gets me is that they have released only 4 albums of Electronic Tosh and since One Direction have come on the scene and have stolen there mantal have decided to release a Greatest Hits compilation as they have made there money (Good Luck To Them!!!)and are trying to cash in while they can before the new breed come along from this years X Factor eg: Rough Copy, who will no doubt be following the same route as JLS and so on and so on.
It's seems all the Donkey work is done by the Studio Guys and all JLS do is put the vocals on after they have come back from having their Facials, Waxes and having there Teeth Whitened.
Complete MANUFACTURED RUBBISH!!! is what i call all this.
From the first track to the last it is all the same old, same old ,same old!!!!
Thank God!!! I love Rock Music compared to this talentless Rubbish!!!!
Some Bands release a GH Package after maybe 8 or 9 Albums but NEVER!! after 4 and some whose careers are still going are yet to still release one.
Buy this if you love JLS or if you have the previous 4 then treat it as a Box Collection but DON'T LET THEM RIP YOU OFF!!!!.
If this is Goodbye!!! for them then it won't be long before we start seeing members of this group appearing on reality programmes to try and rake some more income out of their very short forgotten career into obsurity!!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars The Greatest Heavy Metal DVD Ever!!!!!!!!!! The Priest Rocks!!!!, 15 Nov. 2013
I can only describe this Blue Ray DVD in one word AWESOME!!!!!!!!
Rob Halford has still got the voice and Glenn Tipton,Richie Faulkner,ScottTravis and Ian Hill are without doubt the Greatest Heavy Metal Band of all time with there Live Performance and this DVD does not disappoint one bit with Hit after Hit and played to the maximum with Excellent Riffs and Fantastic Vocals.
I especially like the way the Band warm to the audience and Rob Halford has to be the Greatest Showman In Heavy Rock.
Iron Maiden, Def Leppard, Saxon, are all great Bands but they can't hold a candle to these Guys Judas Priest.
The only other Band that runs them close is Black Sabbath with regards to Heavy Metal.
This Band has been going for 40 years and they are better than ever!!!!! with this Blue Ray Release!!!
A definite MUST BUY FOR ALL HEAVY METAL FANS AND JUDAS PRIEST FANS!!!!!!!!!!
AWESOME!!!!!

1.0 out of 5 stars More Like SINGALONGAROCKNROLLYEARS!!!!, 11 Nov. 2013
I have always had a bit of a soft spot for British Pop Icon Sir Cliff Richard and i have always felt that the best song he ever did was his first "Move It" which i could play again and again is it really ROCKS!!!!.
I have also liked a lot of other Cliff records through the years such as Summer Holiday ,Young Ones,Devil Woman and some of his eighties stuff like We Don't Talk Anymore and Wired for Sound etc.
The trouble with this album that Cliff has brought out is that he is trying to jump on the Rod Stewart kind of Bandwagon and instead of doing American Classics has tried to do the same with the Rock n Roll Classics but it all fails so miserably in that this Album of Covers JUST DOES NOT ROCK!!! one little bit and the songs he is singing are supposed too.
Every song is sung exactly the same as the last in the Cliff Richard way as though he is singing them as a Medley at the end of a karaoke evening down the pub.
This to me is really disappointing as i honestly thought that Cliff being a fan of Rock N Roll himself would really try to make every track be a little more in your face like Elvis Presley used to do.
I know Cliff is now in his Seventies but this album reminds me of something like the SINGALONGAMAX!!! Albums that Max Bygraves made which were mass produced in the seventies and were played at your Grandmas and Grandads Birthday Parties.
I never thought that Cliff would make a Rock N Roll Album that simply just does not ROCK NOR ROLL!!!!and all the songs are supposed to do just that!!!
More like a Karaoke Album and every track is as dull and wet as Dishwater and this is a great shame for Cliff!!!!!!!
Should have been titled SINGALONGAROCK"N"ROLLYEARS that just does not Rock nor Roll one little bit!!!.

4.0 out of 5 stars OK for Nostalgia Fans, Buy the DVD instead not the CD, 11 Nov. 2013
Lets get one thing straight, this Live Album will never be in the same class as the "Get Your Ya Ya's Out" Live Album which to me is The Stones at the peak of their powers.
I have to admit that for their age the Rolling Stones did put on a Bloody Good Show and there is absolutely no way you can ever take that from them performing hit after hit.
OK it was not The Stones of yesteryear but who cares this was always going to be about Nostalgia and no matter what The Rolling Stones do know how to entertain and give it there all.
If i was to buy this i would plump for the Blue Ray DVD instead of the CD as you really need to feel part of History if you are going to experience this concert you need to see the Band as a whole as the CD will be easily forgettable as it would be no different to all there other below average Live Albums such as Shine A Light,Flashpoint etc.
If ever there was a Band that shows you how to go about it's business and really put on a Great Show then The Stones do not disappoint here.
Although Mick Jaggers Voice is now Shot understandably as he is nearing his 70's he can still WOW!!! the crowd like no other artist could ever do and Keith and Ronnie's Guitar work is fantastic and seem to be better than there previous Live Albums with Mick Taylor reuniting for a few of the songs.
But deep down i couldn't care less as this is The Rolling Stones and no matter what, for this once i am willing to let them get away with it and enjoy the moment.
For me this album is all about being part of an Event and Events don't come much bigger than The Rolling Stones at Hyde Park and as i say BUY THE BLUE RAY DVD!!!! Instead you will not regret it.

2.0 out of 5 stars Joe Elliot's Voice is Totally Shot to Pieces, 6 Nov. 2013
This review is from: Viva! Hysteria (Audio CD)
Just thought i would give this album a listen to as i think Def Leppard are a great Band and i have never felt more disappointed than hearing this Live Album.
The Guitar Work and Percussion is absolutely top notch and sounds like the originals with Phil Collen and Vivian Campbell as well as Rick Savage and Rick Allen on the top of there game on nearly every track.
The Problem here like many other live albums is that the main vocalist eg:Joe Elliot's voice is now totally shot and it deflates nearly every song and makes them all sound second rate.
Songs from the Sparkle Lounge was a fantastic album and a return to form and then we have the Mirrorball Live Album and now this which shows Joe Elliots voice in a true light as totally shot which is a tragedy.
Drums, Bass and Lead Guitar can never age but voices unfortunately can and it definitely exposes it here on this album no matter how well they package it.
For Me Pyromania,Hysteria and Songs from the Sparkle Lounge will be the crowning glory of Def Leppard but this is definitely not a great live album.

1.0 out of 5 stars OK production very depressing and sounds like his singing while on the Toilet!!!, 6 Nov. 2013
This review is from: James Arthur (Deluxe) (Audio CD)
Have just heard a few tracks of James Arthurs new album in which he proudly shows us that he has some of the worst tattoos ever seen (so no wonder he is always depressed!!)and always looks like he has a face like a smacked behind!!!.
I have to say the production team are trying as hard as they can to give this album a good feel but my big problem is with James Arthur himself who has the uncanny knack to sound like he is singing as though he is on the toilet doing a number two's.
Tracks like "Impossible" which he released last year is just plain awful and tracks like "Suicide" are just too depressing but for me he cannot sing for toffee's as he always sounds like he is straining like you do on the toilet.
I guess if you went to see him play live it would be no different to a visit to your local Doctors as it is that depressing especially from tracks i heard and that includes "Recovery" another depressing song that has as much charisma as a toilet being flushed.
This Guy seems to me to have utter contempt for the people who have given him five minutes of fame anyway and i can't see this load of old depressing pap lasting too long anyway.
Give it another year and this will be in the 99p Bargain Bin at Poundland or the Chemists as it is that depressing!!!!!.

1.0 out of 5 stars Silly ,Attention Seeking, Spoilt Little Madam Rubbish!!!!, 22 Oct. 2013
This review is from: Bangerz (Audio CD)
Miley Cyrus was great for kids as Hannah Montana , but after hearing this played endlessly on the TV and the constant airtime spoilt Miley Cyrus is demanding as she tries to let us all know that she has grown up and got a rebellious attitude is becoming a total joke!!!!.
What the Hell is this spoilt silly madam trying to prove on this really below average album that she is a female Justin Bieber.
She has absolutely No Talent or Musicianship whatsoever and is trying to shock everybody just to divert attention from her stereotype which she will always be branded as Hannah Montana for little kids on Disney Channel.
God knows why she has decided to go down the R Rating route i will never know as she has gone from nice looking girl to total freak in the matter of a couple of months.
Anyway this album is not at all good and is just Attention Seeking, Spoilt Little Madam Rubbish!!!!.
Best used as a Frisbee to the Bin!!!!!!

1.0 out of 5 stars EXTREMELY BORING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, 16 Oct. 2013
This review is from: In A Perfect World (MP3 Download)
If you like Bands like Coldplay who are the most boring band ever !!! then you will love this.
Kodaline are obviously from the same planet after hearing this load of old boring rubbish!!!.
Sounds like they are trying to out bore Coldplay and drive us all insane as every track is similar to the last thats if you can make it past Track 4 and not fall into aN induced comatose sleep!!!!.
I mean every track has a title of only 3 or less words and the cover is one of the most boring you will ever see.
Strictly for the people who like walking around in Houses that have no furniture on laminated flooring and where thick rimmed glasses and go to modern art galleries looking at a pile of Bricks.
Do yourselves a favour and go and Buy any album by Travis instead as they are better than this load of pretentious codswallop!!
EXTREMELY BORING!!!!
