5.0 out of 5 stars Emotional!, 9 Jun 2014

Emotional times, personal problems, and complicated family relationships draw you in. Other reviews written about this book give you plenty of insight into the storyline, but from my current personal experience, this is a traumatic period for any family touched by Alzheimer's, or any similar mental health issue. An absorbing, well written journey, through difficult times.

5.0 out of 5 stars Curious Tales..., 10 May 2014

This review is from: Never Sleep Again (Kindle Edition)
After reading the Voxian Series, written by author Ruth Watson-Morris, I was more than a little curious to read this novella which is in a different genre. I found the book full of various very short stories that included: blood and guts, murder and mayhem, ghosts, demons etc... 'Appointment with Death' which included 'a knock knock story' was my favourite. If you like strange tales, then these short, sharp horror stories might be the ticket for you.

5.0 out of 5 stars Another Great Time, Blood and Karma Read!, 1 May 2014
Author John Dolan does it again! Hooked right from the start! Another intriguing tale however, there were once again passages that brought a smile to my face. The book is full of conspiracy, deceit, love, betrayal, and tragedy. A young David Braddock meets Anna, and then falls in love with her sister, Claire. Life moves on and he hires detective, Mr Cumberbatch to do some investigations into some personal concerns. But what’s worse, why would he want to meet the psychopath, Jim Fosse, let alone do a deal with him? This story twists and turns in the true Dolan style. Yet, another great story that gives the reader the backdrop to the books, ‘Everyone Burns and Hungry Ghosts’. A must read series!

5.0 out of 5 stars Exciting adventures for young children!, 16 April 2014
This review is from: Jumper Meets Bouncy: 3 (Paperback)
Brilliant Series for Children! This book contains another set of great adventures in the Jumper series. Two red balls get mixed up and end up with the wrong children. The adventure begins when Tony, Emily, and the two red balls (Jumper and Bouncy) go to day camp and have a brilliant time. After that they go river rafting, to the zoo, have a splendid time on the river, enter the rubber ducky race, and visit the vortex. Book 3 is an engaging follow up for youngsters. I can recommend the whole series as well as this latest addition!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great for older children!, 9 Mar 2014

This is definitely a book for older children however, even as an adult I thoroughly enjoyed the adventure. It is quite a dark tale, but I think that was a bonus in engaging me throughout. The struggle to keep the balance in a world full of magic and mystical creatures has to be won! It is the interesting characters throughout, eg The Mother, Drocus, Ellesiin, Chrystalis etc that kept me turning the pages. I would recommend this book to older children.

4.0 out of 5 stars Engaging Read!, 9 Mar 2014

I read this short story while on holiday. The book has a great storyline that kept me engaged throughout. The relationship between Kent and Rebecca was funny, stormy and emotional. This was a fast paced adventure. The only issue might be the sex scenes, I felt the story was definitely good enough without them however, still a very enjoyable read!
