5.0 out of 5 stars all thriller no filler, 10 Aug 2012
as always, being a big who fan, seen this cd in a supermarket(cant remember which, but it begun with a t and ended with an o)and at its price, bought it anyway, for a change, track listing has at last concentrated in more of the iconic tunes, other than filling it up with the usual "bubblegum pop" type tracks as is the norm on other albums,we get for a change, run run run and armenia city in the sky(sung by the late john "speedy" keen)from the sell out album, circles and batman from the ready steady who ep,tracks from the whos next/lifehouse era baba o riley, wont get fooled again(full lenght version no less!) and naked eye, proving there status of best live band we have the pure powerhouse version of young man blues and im free from live at leeds, leading to the current interest with the quadrophenia tracks, love reign o`er me and the real me,right up to it`s not enough from the wire and glass album proving the who can still cut it and rock with the best of them!
as a starter or taster of the who,in my opinion up to date, it is one of the better who compilations, that will encouage non who fans to by more

5.0 out of 5 stars one of the best ever!, 10 April 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Stop! (Audio CD)
bought this on album,at a beautiful young age of about 17,and recently bought an updated version on cd,and even now, this album still kicks!,sam brown in my opinion is,and always will be the best british singer we have! with the inclusion of her late, and amazing singer/mother vicki brown who passed away far too young, father joe brown, david gilmour, danny thompson and the list goes on! time has not been unkined to this album,as even now,it has gone full circle to the point of being now as good as it was first time round! even as an intro to the work of sam brown would reccomend this to the highest level

5.0 out of 5 stars great stuff, 8 Nov 2010
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
being a collector from the glory days of pre certification video, was going to buy this anyway, but was more than delighted when it arrived, with an informative documentary which, with remenicant footage from the early 80`s era,was to me like going back in time reviving loads of memories of hiring/buying tapes from that time.with hours upon hours of related material,(especially enjoyed the compilation of old company logo leaders,in alphabetical order no less!).
so if your reviving your memories of that great video horror era gone by, or your just starting collecting horror tapes,or just interested in the history of british horror video, then this is the dvd set to start with.great work from start to finish.

3.0 out of 5 stars naughty 70`s fun with trigger!, 8 Aug 2010
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
not a great film, and film seems duped from another tape,so why review it i hear you ask?because its got a young roger lloyd pack as a sex stud!it has that certain sleazy/grubby feel of a john lindsay 8mm porn to it,but never the less enjoyable.originally released as "the man who couldnt get enough" was obviously a title change to tie in with the more popular confessions film fame.has a lot of the big names of that time (vicki hodge, ava cadell, bobby sparrow)and all in all an enjoyable little romp.would have been 5 stars, but the tcx dupe alittle bright coloured in places.director allan birkinshaw would later give us the sleazy british horror classic, killers moon.

1.0 out of 5 stars cheap and poor, 29 Oct 2009
bought one at a low priced promotion(from a shop that will remain nameless)it looks nice, but when i tested it(with an old record)it is unbeliveably bad, other than making every record sound like a bee on a vespa, singles cut out before they reach the end, would not risk putting good vynal on it,as stylus seems to have a mind of its own,so what did i do with it?return it?no,i gave it to my elderly grandmothers resident housing, where it is pride of place for playing jim reeves, and highland bagpipe music.better models avaliable for not much more,so i dont recomend this one.

1.0 out of 5 stars sadly,dissapointing, 17 Aug 2009
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
being a collector of the saucy 1970`s sex comedies, and also the films of the late derek ford, seen a dvd advertised of commuter husbands, being a collector of pre-cert videos(videos produced before 1983),and as the video version was deleted and unavaliable, opted to buy a copy of this to fill the gaps in my very large collection, and sadly, must admit to being disapointed with the quality of print, mainly due to it being a low stock quality, and seemes to be a poor vhs to dvd dupe.company have also released,(from memory),amongst others, under the doctor, keep it up nurse, and suburban wives, the latter being the worst ive seen!only consider buying,if your desparate to see the films,or get onto ebay, and look for an original video

5.0 out of 5 stars totally class album, 24 July 2009
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Iron Claw (Audio CD)
2nd release(more legitemate!)release of a class, but sadly undescovered dumfries based rock band.sound quality now better, and extra tracks included.compared from previous german release with tracks lifted from poorer sound source(possible 3rd generation tape?)if iron claw had been discovered, black sabbath would have had a run for there money(and stories between the two exist making a bit of folklore!)
if you like hard rock, worth a purchase, style very similar to "tear gas"who later became the sensational alex harvey band

1.0 out of 5 stars avoid at all costs!, 24 July 2009
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
a seriously poor copy of what looks like a very bad tape to dvd.having the original release,i thought i would buy this to save wear on what ironicaly is now a rare and collectable video.the dvd has a very blotchy picture, lots of sound drops and picture rolls at various points.also the introduction is missing, and film starts with an american advert for hotdogs then rolls into the film, which would lead me to thinking someone has taped it from another source, and done it very badly indeed.avoid at all costs.

2.0 out of 5 stars bit of a damp squib, 14 Dec 2005
I bought the new dvd today, and to be honest, it was quite dissapointing.
50 odd minutes long, but it seems a lot longer. Even the audience seems to lack enthusiasm.
All in all, I have a lot of time and respect for Mr Brown for his perseverance for his ability, but this one is a bit stale.
Fingers crossed, next years offering will be better.
