50 years of doubt - This book pointed the way, 19 Nov 2013
I have had an interest in the JFK assassination since reading this book in 1974.This, and it's follow up "Oswald - the truth" (presumably not re-printed)pointed the way to serious doubts as to the "Official" version.
Written before Warren , it contained many of the now well known features of the 'conspiracy' tales. How did the Author know this stuff back then? I suspect that a LOT of people knew what was going on...but the subsequent cover-up, for the next 50 years, did it's job - and still goes on.
I need to re-read this book.No doubt many of the items raised have not stood the test of time, with subsequent evidence, knowledge, testimonies etc...but the general idea that Oswald was low level intelligence agent, framed, and that possibly 3 shooters (with their locations)seemed, as I recall, to be here...first and very fresh in many witness versions.
The well maintained theories were here in 1964.
From memory , his second book jumped to conclusions that seemed very forceful.I wonder how they stack up now.
