Shakira rarely disappoints and here she is, crazy as ever, in her latest recording. And she likes it! So do we! 'Sale el Sol' has an exciting mixture of latin rhythms - including Waka Waka, the song Shakira wrote for this year's World Cup - and quieter, more sensual numbers like 'Lo Que Mas'. Most of the songs on this version are in Spanish but even if you don't understand the language very well, the meaning comes out in the music.

After watching this series, and series 1, yet again, I'm still undecided between Chris Eccleston and David Tennant. Who makes the best Doctor? I just don't know! However,as fan of Doctor Who for as long as I can remember, I do know this - the imaginative SF writing and dramatic and visual presentation of the DW team only gets better. After watching 'The Age of Steel', the climactic last episode might be anticipated but knowing how it is going to end never spoils the drama. British sci-fi has come of age.

I was hooked on Katie from the moment I heard her sing 'The Closest Thing to Crazy', but having read reviews here and in the press I didn't know what to expect. I loved it! The lyrics are new, original and a bit kinky - which suits someone with kinky tastes in music anyway - or so I'm told! The tunes are as memorable as any in Katie's previous albums. And that wonderful voice is back, with all its love, laughter and life. Just the right balance, and a drop of sunshine to kill the economic recession.

This is definitely my favourite show! Suave Rex Harrison, wonderful Julie Andrews and a host of other marvellous characters! My old LP record, bought more than thirty years ago, was damaged and I decided I couldn't be without it. As an added bonus, the CD has archived interviews with the stars made just after the recording session had finished.

I bought this book and its companion volume on a recommendation while researching my own family history. It did not disappoint and provided me with valuable background to my research. I would recommend it to anyone with Scottish ancestors who is interested in the times in which they lived.

After twenty years on Gallifrey - or in cyberspace (?) - the Doctor returns to Earth with a bang in the shape of the versatile Christopher Eccleston. Whilst it will always be arguable whether he or David Tennant is best suited to the part, there can surely be no doubt that he brought a new lease of life to the show. With his mixture of cocky humour and Time Lord fury, Eccleston portrays a Doctor that is both 'human' and terrifyingly alien. Billy Piper as Rose is the perfect partner, an everyday teenager who goes from London shopgirl to saviour of the world in a mere dozen episodes.
Although, arguably, some of the best Doctor Who episodes of all come in later series, for example, the grand finale of Series 4, this has much to do with how the Doctor Who team evolves and develops over the succeeding years. The writing and the acting of Series 1 is consistently good. 'Dalek', 'Father's Day' and the climax of the series are difficult to beat for sheer passion and excitement in anything which follows.

With a lot of help from TV, Only Men Aloud have made it. Singing is fun and this 'band of brothers' echoes the sentiment. At last, male choirs the length and breadth of the land have a benchmark for the 21st century in both quality and the content of their repertoires, a harmonious mix of traditional and modern.

This is an early recording by Shakira, at the age of 18, before she became an international star. Although the production does not have the glamour and sparkle of later discs, it is a must for anyone who enjoys Shakira's music. The numbers on this CD demonstrate, if any demonstration is needed, that Shakira is at her best in her native language.
