Delivers as promised but requires small cups, 28 May 2013
The Saeco Intelia One Touch really does make very good cappuccinos at the touch of a single button. It is great to hear the machine grind the beans, tamp the grounds, froth the milk and pump the water all on its own. It even flushes the lines at power up and cleans the coffee brewing mechanism at power down (which by the way drains into the drip tray - not clearly indicated in the mediocre instruction manual). The milk pitcher contains the frothing and dispensing lines for the milk entirely, so no milk ever enters the body of the machine which makes clean up a breeze and keeps everything nice and sanitary. You can also program the amount of milk, temperature and coffee although this will be easiest if you watch the videos on YouTube or on the supplied DVD again because the owner's manual is pretty skimpy. My only criticism so far is that the machine will not accommodate tall cappuccino cups or oversized coffee mugs because there is limited adjustment for the nozzle height. Not a huge problem but you might want to pick up a set of shorter cups if yours are large / tall.
