Before buying this item I looked at the very mixed reviews and decided to give it the benefit of the doubt and hope the positive reviews were correct. I ordered two of these cameras for using during a trip with the aim of mounting them to climbing helmets. At the price of the camera I didn't expect it to last long, but hoped I would get the trip out of it with some decent footage.
But...I couldn't even get the camera to work! The camera looks and feels very cheap plastic and not well fitted together. The light and button on the camera itself don't quite line up with the hole in the plastic cover, again making it look cheap, but also fiddly to operate. After charging one camera up I tried to get it to work. Which first involves trying to decipher the confusing instructions, written mainly in some sort of attempt at english and with some equally poor diagrams. It involves pressing buttons one after another waiting for one tiny little light to light up, followed by a different colour. This doesn't seem particulary useful when it shows the camera as being able to be helmet mounted - when you can't see the tiny lights. I even struggled to see the lights in the house without shielding them from the light. From this point I can't comment anymore on the actual camera as I couldn't get it to work!! I gave up and decided no to even bother trying to get the second one I had bought to work, as even if my some miracle it did manage to take photos, it wasn't going to work for my purpose of having it on a helmet. I would assume based on the cheap overall design of the camera and the associated mounting and clip brackets that it wouldn't last long at all - even a small drop or knock would probably break the cheap plastic clips. Overall not fit for purpose.
