5.0 out of 5 stars Good Foundational Review of Morals, 4 Sep 2012

This review is from: Following Christ (Paperback)
'Following Christ' is an excellent primer on how to lead a moral life. I supplemented it with reading about Christian morality in Papal teaching. The book gets a bit heavy in places, but if you want to find out, it's all here!

4.0 out of 5 stars Upstairs Downstairs, 8 April 2012

This book of poetry is a real treat. It's a bit like Upstairs Downstairs, the British Class System. I wish there were more biographical details about the authors of the poems. Are any written by a supercomputer as I suspect? The 'Upstairs' poems are pure plagiarism but the 'Downstairs' poems are not.

1.0 out of 5 stars Twaddle Personified, 22 Feb 2012

This is a vastly over-rated book. Berne's analysis of human relationships is both crude and confused. I bought this book because it is famous but I can now se why Berne's Transactional Analysis has not greatly influenced mainstream psychotherapy.

3.0 out of 5 stars Madness is all in the Mind, 13 July 2009

This book is an intriguing and provocative introduction to cognitive science. I do not share the author's materialist blinkers, but at least he makes you aware that he has them! All in all a good read.
