3.0 out of 5 stars For fans only, 13 July 2008
Be under no illusion, this is not a classic game by any stretch of the imagination. What we have is a game for fans of the film, (of which I am), and also a game which is an example of style over substance.
Good and bad points below:

Good:
- Excellent graphics and interactive cut scenes, make it very exciting at times and realy re-live the feel of the bourne movies
- Take downs are huge amounts of fun

Bad:
- Aiming whilst shooting is absolutely awful
- Driving level is embarrisingly bad
- Game play can get repetitive
- Its over fairly quickly

As you can no doubt see, the bad outweights the good here, but if you are a fan, the feel of being 'in' the movie is very strong and keeps you wanting to play.

I rented this game out, if I had bought it, I would be upset with the game, so my advice is simply to rent it and enjoy it for what it is.

If I wasn't a fan, I would knock off a star (or two)

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent set - but poor factory settings, 5 April 2008
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Firstly I have had this tv for a couple of weeks, and am now completely happy with it. The picture is fantastic, the sound is good (although I use a surround system) and the number of inputs/outputs and settings to modify is excellent.

However - the main gripe I have is that it did take me quite a while to get the picture as I like. Whilst intial tv setup (freeview etc) is very easy - the factory picture settings it comes with are pretty poor in my opinion and make for a less than great initial picture. Try searching the internet (avforums for example) and finding some alternative settings or be prepared to play with the settings a fair bit yourself.

Once you have it though, the freeview picture is excellent, but it is the DVD picture which really excels. I bought myself an Sony upscale DVD player to go with it and the colour and clarity of the picture is staggering - I can't really imagine Blu-Ray could better it significantly. The TV has lots of inputs/outputs which is very useful, including HDMI which allows both my xbox and DVD to be wired digitally, I only bought about £8 HDMI cables, its not worth buying really expensive ones, mine are great!

So yes - very much recommended, but if you're a perfectionist like me and want the picture to be worth the £600 you paid, be prepared to play with it for a bit...

5.0 out of 5 stars Does the job very well, 30 Jan. 2004

For the low price, this does a great job. Having owned a remington for a couple of years, I didnt realise how bad it was in comparison.
This is incredibly quiet, is very soft on ones skin and gives a excellent close shave. Perhaps the only problem with it is the flip out beard trimmer , it really isnt very good for straight lines on beards but other than that this is great.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great episodes, great DVD, 23 Jan. 2004
If you are planning to buy this, then i will assume that you know ER is great and that these episodes are no different. I own the Region 1 version of this dvd collection and as such will write a brief review of the dvd package.
Pros:
Picture - great picture, clean distinct colours, shown in anamorphic 16:9 (widescreen)
Volume of episodes - 24 episodes each 45 minutes so thats err 1080 minutes (i think) - 18 hours worth of viewing for your money
Extras - great documentary about the beginning of ER, with Spielberg, John Wells and much of the cast. Also good commentaries on a couple of the episodes. Outtakes etc and stuff about the medical side of ER
Susan Lewis - Looking pretty damn hot, and there's George Clooney for the ladies!
Cons :
The discs - they are flippers so they can easily become damaged if not properly looked after
Case - cardboard so could get damaged
Sound - only dolby 2.0 so not great but I suppose it was never intended to be a surround sound experience
Bascially its a great purchase, funny to see everyone looking so young, but the episodes are as fresh now as they were then. You learn of Carters first days, Chen's obsessive need to be the best, and Bentons arrogance starting to peak! Well worth having!

Title sums it up quite well. If you were playing the hopless optimism card like me then dont. You hit a pixel around a barely visible 'golf course' and the ability of shots seems entirely random and the shot distance guide is a complete lie! You'll be bored after the second shot. Put the (...)towards the playstation or gamecube versions.
(I have a Nokia 7250i incase you were wondering)

5.0 out of 5 stars A technical review, 14 Oct. 2003
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
As most of these reviews seem to be of the annoying vain of writing the review before having witnessed the dvd I thought I would write one of the actual dvd.
SOUND: First of all, for all you sound junkies like me, it is in 5.1 (incase you dont know, that means full surround sound) thats right, rather surreally you can hear krusty knocking at the simpsons door and it is actually heard souly in the right speaker! Very strange for us used to good old BBC 2 analogue broadcasts but nevertheless adds to the whole experience.
PICTURE: Whilst not looking as great as something like Futurama due to its age i guess, the picture is still pretty decent, rather obviously being better than televisions transmissions, but not vastly so. Nothing of great wonder but still acceptable.
EXTRA FEATURES: Personally directors commentraries bore me usually, but i find with animation such as Futurama and the Simpsons they are great, almost amusing as the episodes sometimes to hear the writers talking about the episodes! Apart from the commentaries for me there is little, except a few mildly pointless animation features that arent really worth it.
Im sure you know the episodes are great, I never realised what great episodes came from season 3.
Great dvd, great episodes, well worth it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Clever, witty and sometimes plain smutty!, 21 Mar. 2003
As the title suggests, there are many aspects to this live show from Robin Williams. His clear intelligence shines through with his clever witticisms on the world, aspects such as airport security, great mockery of George W Bush and the plain smutty subjects such as talking about viagra. Now admittedly all these topics sound pretty unoriginal - obvious stand up ground and granted they are (however please note that these are the only things I could remember, there is plenty more!). However Williams does it all with such passion and pace but still with great etiquette that I guarantee you will be laughing very loudly very regularly! However the main problem with the show is that on occasion some jokes just passed me by simply because I'm not American and therefore I didn't know who he was referring too. However these American jokes are few and do not ruin the show at all. A great stand up show especially for fans of Robin Williams.

5.0 out of 5 stars The greatest documentary ever, 26 Jan. 2003
To say this is a powerful piece of filmmaking is to say that Star Wars was quite a successful film chain. This is a real life documentary from Micheal Moore (a member of the NRA himself) about America and their fixation with guns and how they are so deeply embedded in their culture that is has adversely affected their lives. Moore clearly depicts the fear that Americans live in, how their opinions are so visibly altered by television through broadcasters obsession with exciting television; which itself leads to dangerous propaganda and even racism. Whilst this is a harsh look at life within America it is filled with superbly ironic humour. You will laugh out loud, and I guarantee you will think 'only in America' at least once. However this ironic laughter only increases the effectiveness of the message. Whilst it may be somewhat one sided, it explains all its opinions and not one did I disagree with. Also you are unlikely to ever view Charlton Heston (the head of the NRA) in a positive light again. Simply an absolutely amazing film and the best documentary I have ever seen.

4.0 out of 5 stars So is it better than his other shows?, 20 Nov. 2002
This review is from: Eddie Izzard : Circle [DVD] (DVD)
Well quite simply, no. However it is still Eddie Izzard whom I believe to be the best stand up comedian alive. There are some new, very funny sketches, some of them being up there with the best (I won't say what they are as it could ruin them). However I suppose to compare this with his other shows is cruel in a certain way, simply as Definite Article, Dress to Kill and Glorious are the funniest stand up shows I have ever seen. The DVD is very well produced, an interesting behind the scenes extra where he rather bizarrely gets pulled over by the police! If you like commentaries then its got one too although personally I find them boring. So yes it is well worth buying if you have never seen Eddie before, and still well worth buying if you have seen his other shows. Like I said, perhaps not as amazing as his originals but still shades above the rest. (Oh one last thing, in the first few minutes, if you recognise some of the material from previous shows, don't worry that's pretty much all the recycled material!)

2.0 out of 5 stars If it seems too good to be true..., 17 Aug. 2002
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
...Its an annoying cliché isn't it, but unfortunately its very true. I had such high hopes for this camera from reading the reviews. I thought I had solved my photography problems in terms of costs by not only buying a cheap camera but it being digital and therefore eradicating processing costs. But whilst it comes with many gadgets and works properly, the problem is the quality of the pictures is plain awful. They are colourless, not sharp in the least and if you use the flash it appears like a localised aurora borealis. I have special photography software to enhance it but nonetheless it remains poor. I have taken over 100 test pics, applying many different photography techniques to see if it would improve, but to no avail.
So you really do get what you pay for, mine is going back, probably with looking to purchasing a superior quality product, as I could not live with such bad pictures. Good for children probably, not for me. Shame really...
