If you can listen to this album without smiling, you have no soul. My favourite tracks are Get A Move On, Midnight Feast, Honeydew, and Fish, but they're all great :-)

Though i'm not sure I would describe it as "joyous and life affirming". Definitely not one to listen to if you're feeling depressed...

One of the few books that I simply could not be bothered to waste any mental energy trying to finish. OK, there were some nice poetic bits, and some frankly disturbing sex scenes (particularly the one from 'in a strange bed'), but there were large parts of it that simply made no sense whatsoever to me. It starts off quite coherently (well, relatively), but quickly drifts into one big rambling mess. While it has more concepts linking the various bits together (e.g 'The Word', film & tape experiments and such), Naked Lunch is, in my opinion, far more readable. If you read this and found it in any way approachable, you have a very strange mind.
