Everyone at a career crossroads should read this book!, 18 Dec. 2009
I am a mum of two small children, getting ready to go back to work after four years at home.
I decided not to return to my previous career - inflexible shift work, long hours, big commute - but was totally stuck about what to try next.
This book was a total inspiration - encouraging me to have the confidence to try something new. In fact, several somethings, at the same time. I now know how to identify my strengths, and find work which plays to them.
Katie and Barrie's book is not an easy read - it takes time to complete all the exercises and you'll find it forces you to do a lot of thinking. But that's exactly what I needed, and I'm all the better for reading "And What Do You Do?"
In fact I got offered a job yesterday! Portfolio career, here I come.
