4.0 out of 5 stars Things don't stay the same, 17 Sep 2010
This review is from: A Thousand Suns [NTSC] (Audio CD)
Please listen to this album at least 4 times before you decide whether you like it or not because it does not have instant appeal - but then it gets you and then it will have lasting appeal. There are lots of interesting tracks.Favourite tracks, When they come for me and the Catalyst
I do agree to some extent with previous reviewers who are irritated by the speech / intros throughout, but come on they have been kept as seperate tracks so even the simplest folk can skip tracks or delete from their mp3.
My tiny gripe would have liked more guitar evident - after all I am already a Depeche Mode fan.
Looking forward to seeing Linkin Park live at Manchester, hope the set list is a good balance of new and old tracks.

This mature debut is a must for any shelf
every track is worthwhile and while being accessible easy listening never deteriorates into background music. If you like singer son writers such as James Blunt you will probably like this too but James Morrison is soulful talent in his own right. Enjoy

Hauntingly beautiful tracks that stick in your head - saw them recently and they were good live even without the string arrangements on many tracks. This album seems close and personal - enjoy

5.0 out of 5 stars Every track brilliant, 13 July 2008
This review is from: The Best Of Radiohead (Audio CD)
Sorry but I have to say there are a lot of elitist Radiohead 'fans' who seem to think they own the band and less knowledgeable need to be kept out. Well apart from their parents all fans started somewhere along the releases and these fantastic tracks will spawn another generation of fans.

4.0 out of 5 stars life in the old dogs yet, 13 July 2008
Dont hold back in buying but don't expect to love it on the first play, it's a'grower' Several plays in you will have your favourites but none of it is rubbish. Some of the instrumental links seem a bit pointless, wheras some are good, the seamless end to start is clever if you have it on looped play. Best track? I think 'yes'

5.0 out of 5 stars New fan & loving it, 15 Jun 2007
This review is from: Minutes To Midnight (Audio CD)
I only bought this cd by mistake and after a few listenings I am hooked. Not a bad track unless you count the intro no 1. Not sure whether to buy the previous album now because it seems like die hard fans don't like this. There is a wide variety of tracks and a wide variety of musical influences apparent. Best mistake I will make this year.

5.0 out of 5 stars Pokemon for everyone, 28 Mar 2007
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
Do not be put off by the pokemon theme, it is a brilliant utterly addictive and ultimately frustrating puzzle (when you cant catch the final few little pokemon)Simple in concept catching the 4, then 3 in a row to set up a chain of adjacent disappearances. There are lots of angles however (catching them all/ earning coins to spend /tougher levels) and multiplayer is great fun. PS eventually my son will want HIS game back
