1.0 out of 5 stars No app? No offline viewing? Not on apples newsstand?, 9 Feb 2013

The content is great but it is shocking and disappointing that they aren't even trying to reach a 21st century audience

5.0 out of 5 stars Great, great book, 14 April 2008
This review is from: Glue (Paperback)
I've read a few of Welsh's books and this is easily one of the best. It's trademark Welsh - gritty, and harshly real, but this one will actually leave you feeling good about life in general.

5.0 out of 5 stars Thumpin & pumpin, 19 Oct 2007
This review is from: Hospital Mix 5 (Audio CD)
Awesome mix from the hospital mainman Tony Coleman. The earlier hospital mix CDs let the songs run all the way through and focus on the chilled side. This is non-stop soulful energy. Short songs sometimes mixing the next one in and soon as the current one drops. Some tracks are only aout 40 secs long but you can hardly tell where songs start & finish the mixing is that quick.
Sounds like a live mix straight out of the club. But if I heard this in a club I don't think I'd leave the dancefloor for a good few hours. One of the best hospital releases in a long time.

4.0 out of 5 stars Really good intro to Grand Central, 21 Feb 2007
This review is from: Central Heating (Audio CD)
This album was made as an intro of Grand Central releases which were almost all only available on vinyl. Very chilled out, funky type beats, most instrumental and scratch based. Does also get have some very soulful tracks.

Certainly better than Central Heating 2 as this one has much more of a rough-edged feel to the songs, not too over produced. Highlights for me are Spellbound (beautiful), Rain (clealry straight out of Manchester - beautiful female vocalist), 2nd Street Go-go (Almost 1950s style hip-hop) and the awesomely, epic funky track Loop dreams (literally just a cut & paste of free loops - so catchy).

If you like this you'll probably also like Ordered from the Catalogue and Mystic Brew.

5.0 out of 5 stars His best so far, 17 Oct 2006

Just wanted to echo what the other reviewer said. Dirty, heavy beats with his trademark smooth, intelligent and truly funny lyrics. Stand out tracks for me: Walk on, Fall out, Say, Ya Meen

5.0 out of 5 stars Informative, accurate and trendy, 28 Nov 2005
I have been let down and misled by numerous restaurant guides in the past but I now only refer to Harden's guides. They have directed me to some of the best meals of my life. You know you can trust them because they are not simply the opinions of food critics, but they only feature restaurants that are recommended by members of the general public, and so I always feel reassured.
The restaurants that Harden's have recommended to me are as diverse as Thai food to pub grub, dear to everyday but always food with a smile and a positive atmosphere in every place.
Do not trust anyone else with your food.
