a deceptive tome, 22 Aug. 2013
Mr Bittman claims that you can eat what you like after 6p.m. It is quite evident from his 28 day menu that this is not the case, in fact it looks like the usual kind of miserable offerings of the average diet. I quite accept that if one stuck to it weight loss & improved health would be the result but it's not the easy ride he claims it to be. Furthermore its hard to believe that he is a professional restaurant critic as some of his recipes are pretty unpleasant. The reliance on tofu ignores that quite a few people have problems metabolizing soya products & I, for one, find it repellent.
