A Forgotten Gem, 18 Aug 2011
McDonald and Giles.
I had this originally on vinyl but had not listened to it for about 30 years. Bought the CD and Wow! A definite 10 out of 10 and this is where King Crimson should have gone; music instead of technique. This album stands the acid test of music-the test of time. Its fresh, melodic, exciting and uplifting. It stand easily against "In the Court of the Crimson KIng" and that other great, Procol Harum's "Shine on Brightly". It has that lovely fusion of Rock and Jazz that Crimson had, Jazz timing with rock drive.
The whole thing lasts around 45 minutes, so my advise is a darkened room, a nice bottle of Whiskey( Irish), no interruptions and a broad smile.
Go for it!
