5.0 out of 5 stars A step into the right direction, 11 Jan. 2010
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
I gave the Assassin's Creed 1, 4 stars because it was missing out on something but I couldn't point out what. After playing and completing Assassin's Creed 2 that missing out on something feeling disappeared. The game has improved on pretty much everything.

Storyline:
The storyline begins to make more sense in Assassin's Creed 2. You start off where you left off in Assassin's Creed 1. You escape the building and move into another place hiding. You then go back in time through the DNA and start the storyline. In Assassin's Creed 2 its set in the 1400's in Italy. Azio Auditore is the new assassin. He starts off as a young adult and then his family members get killed. Through out the game you are doing missions to track down the person responsible for there deaths. In the end yes you do find him and get the answers you want. But yet again Assassin's Creed 2 leaves you with another strange but exciting ending. I would say the storyline is much better than Assassin's Creed 1. There are also new characters you meet through out the game. Leonardo Da Vinci being one of them!

Setting:
This has to be mentioned in the review. The setting of the game is amazing. It reminds me of GTA IV. Assassin's Creed 2 has cities set in the 1400's every single one of them is different and full of detail. The cities really make you feel that you have travelled back in time. Its not just the city that's nice the people are detailed and some buildings and masterpieces. It's said that the cities in Assassin's Creed 2 are the best ever made for a game.

What's New?
Lots! New assassin character. Different setting. New characters. Carries on the storyline from Assassin's Creed 1. There's now shops where you can buy stuff. New weapons theres even a gun its not excellent and the aiming is a bit bad but it's a one shot kill.

The Good:
You can now buy weapons.
You can now buy armor and ammunation.
You can now buy different clothes for your character.
You can now buy paintings.
You can now get your armor repaired.
You can now get poison.
You can now get medicine to heal yourself.
A better stoyline.
New improved setting.
More things to do.
In Assassin's Creed 1 there were constant interruptions in the new game there's only 2.
Now saves automatically. I remember having problems with saving on assassins creed 1 no problems with assassins creed 2.
You can now swim.
Travelling from place to place is much more easier and simple.

The Bad:
I think the controls have changed a bit. Sometimes the assassin jumps in the wrong direction when you didn't even want him to. But eventually you do get the hang of it but at first it seems very hard.
The assassin seems to be the only person in the game who can swim. Everyone else dies instantly when they go into the water.
It does change from day to night but there's no weather changes.
Some missions require you to run across the city to kill someone on your way you may slip and fall or get killed and you have to restart all over again. Some missions have check points others don't.
Graphics haven't changed at all there excellent but was hoping for maybe something ever so slightly better.

To sum up the game. It has improved a lot from Assassins Creed 1 which is why I'm giving it 5 stars. It took me just over 2 weeks to complete it spending about 1 to 2 hours a day on it. The graphics may have not changed but the detail of everything has. Problems such as saving or getting lost in the complicated maps have all been sorted. Well done Ubisoft on a great improvement this is a highly recommended game. I will be looking forward to Assassins Creed 3.

5.0 out of 5 stars PS2 Review, 24 Dec. 2009
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
I got the PS2 (black version) when it first came out. The black version was great but only lasted about a year. So I got the silver PS2. I can say the PS2 Silver version has a quieter fan than the black PS2 version.

Whats new?

It can play better games than the PS1. It has better graphics sounds. It comes with 2 controllers with vibration.

Design,

It has 2 memory card slots like the PS1. It can take 2 controllers like the PS1. It also has 2 USB parts for a eye toy camera. Its also a bit bigger and heavier than the PS1. The PS2 is very reliable I still have my silver one working fine. The disc drive pops out like a computer.

In summary its the same design as the PS1 but its built to play PS2 games with better graphics. It also plays CDs and DVDs. Its a good buy.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best game for PS2, 20 Dec. 2009
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars

I got this game on the day of release and have played it a lot since then and it's amazing.

Storyline:

CJ heads to San Andreas because his mother has recently been murdered. When he arrives there he gets in trouble with the Police already. He manages to escape and find his child hood friends. Everyone he knows are at risk of being killed. He has to fight his way through many missions to earn respect and money to play more missions and to unlock stuff. Like the other Grand Theft Autos you unlock the cities as you progress through the storyline. The storyline is long and action packed with twists and turns and unexpected things.

Radio Stations:

I had to put this in the review because they are amazing the radio stations in San Andreas are really funny and have great songs I like K Rose the best. Driving along the country road and listening to country music.

Scenery and Setting:

The games is based on the year 1992. You have a large city where you start. Beside it to the west is the countryside with a massive mountain excellent for stunts. Beside it to the north is another city that has a good garage for modfying cars. To the north of it is a small town beside the sea. Then to it's east is a desert based on Area 51 a spooky area with a small town just outside the army base. Beside it to its east is another city based on Las Vegas its full of fancy casinos and lights up at night.

Cheats:

There are loads of great cheats in the game for example health, weapons, cars and many more great ones.

What is there to do? When I Conplete The Game:

You can go to the gym to get CJ more fit or go and eat loads of food to make CJ fat. Modify cars. Go in a crane and throw about cars. Get involved in a police chase. Rob houses. Fight with gangs. Take a ride on a boat or plane. Search for myths such as big foot in the forest. Go to the high mountain and jump off it with a parachute. Search desert for strange stuff and secrets. Go and gamble all your cash at the casino. And loads more.

The Good:

1. Good storyline.
2. Loads to do.
3. Good setting.
4. You can swim underwater.
5. Deserts, forests, country side and nice cities.
6. Great boats and cars and bikes.
7. You can fly planes and helicopters.
8. Very addicting.
9. Great game to explore.
10. Cheats.
11. Wide range of clothes to wear.
12. Change your hair style.
13. Lots of houses to buy.
14. Good radio stations.

The Bad:

1. Eating and keeping fit gets annoying after a while.
2. Your girlfriend can get annoying.
3. Back then the graphics were good but today not so great.

In summary its a great game with loads to do. Buy it.

Little big planet is a great game it shows what the PS3 can really do. It has real life physics and excellent graphics which makes it realistic. This game is really funny if you go online with others its great fun and cute.

Starting:

At first you will go through a tutorial explaining how and what its all about.

Another tutorial will explain how to make your own levels so people all over the world can play on your level and rate it.

Story Mode,

You will be popped into a box with windows looking at a knitted planet Earth you will select the missions for the story mode and once you finish it that's the end of the storymode but not the end of the fun.

Online,

Going online and playing with other people is what makes this game really good. You will either join a party or create and invite your own friends. You can search for levels or play on the highest rated levels made by people. You should never run out of levels to play on because people are making them all the time and there are millions to play on.

In summary this game is great fun and its cute aswell. Excellent real life graphics and physics. It's a must buy!

3.0 out of 5 stars Nice to look at but fish didn't like it and hard to clean., 8 Dec. 2009
I got this tank because it looks good and I know some other people who have one with there goldfish so thought why not and got it. When the tank arrives you have to put the stones in it and they don't give you enough stones to fill the tank up so we ordered more stones along with some plastic plants.

Setting up the tank takes a while make sure you have a good strong table for it to sit on because its really heavy when its full of water. Once you have it filled up with the pump on you have to put in this bacterial stuff then let the tank run with the pump on for 24 hours. After this you can put in your fish. We put ours in and they were really happy.

However after 4 weeks the water started to get a bit cloudy and our fish were not swimming around as much they looked unhappy so we thought its maybe best to clean it out. The instructions are completely useless at telling you how to clean it out, they expect you to remove the filter which is impossible to do because you have to take the fish and water out to reach the filter. So we removed the fish and water and looked at the filter it should be white but it was black. Its only been going for 4 weeks and its black and we only have 2 adult goldfish.

For now we are not using the tank just our old glass bowl for now the fish seem happy in there and its easier to clean out.

In summary its great looking and the fish will love it at first but later when it gets dirty its a hassle to clean and the fish seem to get unhappy.

5.0 out of 5 stars Didn't expect it to be this good., 6 Nov. 2009
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Saints Row 2 (PS3) (Video Game)
When I got this game I didn't know what to expect. But the game is very good let me explain.

First of all the story line is very good some say it may be better than GTA IV's story line. The story starts off in prison the character you are is in a coma in prison, when it gets to the point before you start playing you get to create your character. The character creation is very good you can customize them in any way and you can choose male or female. Once you pick your character you then escape prison.

You then meet gang members and enemy gangs. You will then complete the missions and start to overtake the city. The storyline is action packed and full of fun. At the end of the game the saints (the gang you are in) rule the city. You can also go online and play with other players which is good.

Comparing it to GTA IV they both have similar ideas but Saints Row 2 picked up on some stuff that GTA IV missed out on. In Saints Row 2 you can modify your car in many ways, lots more shops and interior buildings. It has the weapons like the chainsaw and the flamethrower. The vehicle handling is less realistic in Saints Row 2 compared to GTA IV.

The Good,
Good funny characters.
Some things in the story line is funny.
Action packed storyline.
Easy vehicle handling.
Good graphics.
Character customization.
Loads of cool cheats.

The Bad,
Not too realistic.
There's glitches.
Cars can disappear or spawn out of nowhere.

To sum it up, if you didn't find the GTA IV fun enough then this game is a little less realistic which makes it fun and there's loads of cool cheats to make it even more fun. Will be getting Saints Row 3 when it comes out.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Game, 30 Oct. 2009
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: inFamous (PS3) (Video Game)
I got this game a while ago but only a month ago I got around to playing it and I can say it is addicting and action packed.

The story all starts when there is a big explosion that changes the city completely and the people who live in the city.

The person you play is called Cole he gets powers after the blast. He ends up working for the FBI. You do many missions that are challenging, action packed and completely unexpected.

Eventually you will beat all the bosses. The final boss was actually easier than the others. When the game ends though your just left to roam the city and there's not much to do.

Through out the game you will earn XP this means you can use it to buy powers to make your powers stronger. Also every time when you bring the power back on to parts of the city you get cool new powers.

The Good,
Action packed.
Challenging.
A good interesting adventure.
Acceptable graphics and detail.
Good characters and there interesting.
Excellent storyline.

The Bad,
Some may not think the graphics and details are good.
The enemies are really annoying and all look the same.
Most people in the street all look the same.
Most cars look the same.
Can't drive a car.
Your guy can't go in water he will die, but in the whole game not once does it rain.
No buildings to go into.

To sum it up its a good action packed game but if you look at the realistic side of it, it lacks slightly. Of course that doesn't really matter but it would be good if it did improve on that side. If there's a inFamous 2 I will be getting it.

Call of Duty: World at War (PS3)
Call of Duty: World at War (PS3)

4.0 out of 5 stars Good but struggling in area's., 28 Oct. 2009
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
Call Of Duty World At War, is a challenging game to play online and offline. The game is set in the World War 2, it has the guns from that time. Which in a way shows how much military has improved.

The solo game play is an interesting experience for a gamer.

Online is where the game struggles. Whenever the host of the game leaves the whole game gets cut off. This can be frustrating when you think that they could just pass the hosting onto someone else. Another thing is the add on map packs. I bought a map pack and then the PS3 had a memory error and I had to get a new one and I could no longer play on the maps. Thus wasting money.

The game also comes with an extra add on called 'Nazi Zombies'. On Nazi Zombies you can fight by yourself or with others online or with 2 player. In Nazi Zombies you fight off waves of zombies and each waves there are more zombies and they are harder to kill.

The Good:
Good detail and graphics.
Solo play.
Online at times.
Gun choice.
Maps.

The Bad:
Glitching online never gets patched.
Hosting situation as stated above.
Some players online are known to be hackers and ruining online play for others.
When a game of Nazi zombies is in progress you can't invite someone in.

To sum it up Call of Duty World at War has many strong points but as stated above lacks in some area's making the game less enjoyable for others.

Colin McRae: Dirt 2 (PS3)
Colin McRae: Dirt 2 (PS3)

4.0 out of 5 stars Good, but missing things., 28 Oct. 2009
= Fun:4.0 out of 5 stars
First of all I have got all the Colin McRae rally games since PS1. Dirt 2 is different from any of them its got more races than rallying. In Dirt 2 you travel around the world doing tours and races, the more you win the more popular you get.

The new menu is okay but the auto save should start saving as soon as the race finishes instead of the camera walking in then looking at the map then saving.

When you win races you earn XP and the more XP you get the higher your level goes up, if you play on easy you won't earn much XP but on hard you will earn a lot of XP depending on how you finish.

The online play has improved slightly everyone can make there own games and tours but this time you can skill up. However you get people who don't press 'ready up' online this means other people who are all ready have to wait and sometimes everyone just leaves and looks for another game.

To sum up the game there has been improvements the graphics seem a little better and detail is also better however the massive downside which is why I'm giving it only 4 stars is there isn't a lot of rallying to much of these stupid races in buggies and there hardly isn't any tracks compared to the old Dirt game.

The Good:
Improved detail.
Improved graphics.
Other drivers talk.
XP system.
You can set up you own game online.
Do challenges.
Pick your CO Driver.

The Bad:
To many races and not enough rallying.
Not as many tracks and the tracks aren't as good as the old Dirt.
Can't get as many cars as the old game.
No slow motion on replay unlike before.

Sony VGN-FS315E Celeron M 380 80GB PC
Sony VGN-FS315E Celeron M 380 80GB PC

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Laptop, 14 Sept. 2009
I got this laptop back in 2005 and using today in 2009 about 4 years later to write this review. I use the laptop everyday for work etc so over the last 4 years I've switched it on every day and not once has it failed.

I got this laptop at the time because it was good looking and was a good price and a good make and its proved it. It has windows XP installed on it so you just set it up. Its good for going on the internet broadband or dial up (I've used it for both) Its good for most games something like the 'Sims' is a bit much for it but games like World of War Craft etc are good. Today after 4 years of use its got 1 very small crack around the side of it and the touch pad has worn out some keys are wobbly or worn out but never the less it works great.

The Facts:
Second Generation of X-Black LCD with even richer colours and a double lamp built into the screen so it gives good rich colours with good clear brightness.

Only weighs 2.9kg with a nice slim design.

It has built in WLAN with a on and off switch for it.

Max Memory (MB) 2048.0

Double layer DVD±RW drive

3 USB Ports

Wireless LAN Type 802.11b/g

Built in speaks with 3D surround.

Battery Type Lithium-Ion battery

The Good:
Good screen.
Nice keyboard.
Good easy and fast.
Doesn't get hot to easily compared to other laptops also quite.
Good for games and internet.
Well built.

The Bad:
Around the edges of it can easily get chipped if you carry it about often.
Battery last for about 2 years after that you can only get about 20 minutes out of it.

Overall a very good laptop I would recommend this to someone looking for a good looking, cheap fast laptop.
