5.0 out of 5 stars Great stuff, 3 Mar. 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Not your typical book about a band - so you're forewarned.

But The KLF (et al.) weren't your typical band.

Following the JAMs from their origin to 2013, it's a highly entertaining, thought-provoking journey. Ridiculous and sublime simultaneously, and highly recommended.

1.0 out of 5 stars Do not take the advice on the cover!, 20 Jan. 2014
This review is from: I Can Make You Hate (Hardcover)
I stole this book and was caught, unfortunately. I'm now in court in a few weeks.

I don't recommend following Charlie's advice. Any legal advice would be appreciated.

4.0 out of 5 stars I must be playing a different game, 19 Nov. 2013
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: X Rebirth (PC DVD) (CD-ROM)
This game makes me laugh out loud regularly - I can't understand the band reviews. The incredibly earnest lead character, the ultimately-irritating sidekick, the myriad of times that you're made to go "WTF?" as the plot thrashes around desperately between cliched set pieces.

I think the people who dislike it need to take the game less seriously. Just look at the character "animations" - are you telling me this was done without a sense of humour? The casual racism, 1970s-style sexism, a whole universe where they USE BILLBOARDS. IN SPACE!

Yes it has lots of technical problems, but it makes me grin inanely. Have fun.

5.0 out of 5 stars Like breathing broken glass, 17 Nov. 2013
This review is from: Utopia (Audio CD)
This is a special, special album - definitely the best soundtrack of the year. I don't think the TV show would have had the success it had without it.
Claustrophobic and disturbing, it' a tightly wound catgut garotte.
The voice samples work really well and serve to remind the listener of the music's context.

Pod Gents 50M Water Resitant Watch With Black Dial Strap
Pod Gents 50M Water Resitant Watch With Black Dial Strap

5.0 out of 5 stars Style and value - a rare commodity, 20 Oct. 2007
I've just got this watch and I'm more than pleased with it. I was thinking of buying a Swatch but saw this Pod at one third of the price and thought it was worth a try.

Now I've got it I'm amazed! Through a clever disguise of the rear casing it looks micro-thin, and it's extremely attractive, looking like a watch for ten times the price!

The strap looks a bit flimsy, but that's only a minor gripe to what I think to be a total bargain. Highly recommended.
