Dire Threads (Threadville Mysteries)
by Janet Bolin
Edition: Mass Market Paperback
Price: £5.43

5.0 out of 5 stars Welcome to Threadville!, 24 May 2015
There is nothing better than to discover a GREAT new author: Janet Bolin is certainly one of them. She takes us to Threadville, a wonderful village where crafts, pets and wonderful friendship make the world go round. Beside discovering that murder can also happen in the best of places, Willow (the main character) shows us valuable tips on machine embroidery. This book has a great pace, a well plotted story and wonderful humour too. It just makes the reader want to purchase more of Janet Bolin's books (which I just have!).

The Diva Cooks a Goose (Domestic Diva Mysteries)
by Krista Davis
Edition: Mass Market Paperback
Price: £5.58

5.0 out of 5 stars Cooking a Goose is one thing... Finding a Murderer another!, 11 May 2015
Christmas is not entirely the season of goodwill in Sophie’s social circle…. The Grinch steals all the food and toys in the neighbourhood. Phil, the father of Sophie’s sister in law turns up with Bonnie, a new girlfriend, much too soon… A surprise visit is paid by two Ragdoll kittens causing havoc… As usual, Sophie is multitasking beautifully: cooking tasty dishes for family and friends, caring for her four-legged friends, coping relatively well during tensed family discussions, keeping calm whilst dealing with Detective Kenner and… looking for a vicious murderer lurking in the vicinity… Just as entertaining and thrilling as its predecessors, this fourth book in the Domestic Diva Mystery series is a must read and so are the recipes found right at the end!

The Diva Runs Out of Thyme (A Domestic Diva Mystery)
The Diva Runs Out of Thyme (A Domestic Diva Mystery)
Price: £4.13

5.0 out of 5 stars A Must Read for Mystery Lovers!, 7 May 2015
The Diva Runs out of Thyme (the first book of the Domestic Diva Mystery series), is genuinely entertaining. Sophie Winston, the main character, spends her time planning events, liaising with meddling relatives, creating fabulous dishes for her guests, dealing with Natasha Smith, a school rival who now lives with her ex. husband until... one more event is added to Sophie's frantic life: the discovery of a dead body in her neighborhood. A dash of romance spices up Sophie’s life with the appearance of a handsome detective, Wolf, who believes she might just be the killer he is looking for... Thankfully, Sophie can rely on the support of Nina (a true friend) and Mochie (an Ocicat kitten). There is never a dull moment throughout the story! The cherry on the cake is Krista Davis’ recipes and cooking tips nestled at the end of the book. You’ll just want to come back for more!

The Ghost and Mrs. Mewer (Pet Hotel Mystery)
The Ghost and Mrs. Mewer (Pet Hotel Mystery)
by Krista Davis
Edition: Mass Market Paperback
Price: £5.66

5.0 out of 5 stars Halloween in Wagtail!, 18 April 2015
In this second ‘Paws & Claws’ book, Krista Davis takes us back to the wonderful village of Wagtail during the Halloween festivities. Holly Miller (the main character) together with her pet cat and dog, Twinkletoes and Trixie, face another mystery as well as a new life (settling down at the Sugar Maple Inn).

Krista Davis depicts the characters’ personal life well and combines this with a thrilling mystery which from time to time brings ‘chilly’ moments to the reader. The portraying of pets is excellent: their response to events and people are described perfectly and with humour!

Adding great recipes satisfying pets and their two-legged friends is a bonus, which will please more than one reader!

Murder, She Barked (Paws and Claws Mysteries)
by Krista Davis
Edition: Mass Market Paperback
Price: £5.50

5.0 out of 5 stars wonderful surroundings, and, 18 April 2015
Wagtail is the ideal place to live in: hardly any cars, pets and humans living together in harmony, wonderful surroundings, and.... MURDER!!! If you love animals and a good mystery: this is the book for you!! Krista Davis will bring you joy in this series (Paws and Claws) as much as she does in her 'Delicious Mystery' (Diva...) series. You will keep on coming back for more!
