5.0 out of 5 stars Great Practical book, with great housekeeping tips, 22 Jun 2007
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I bought this book to give to my daughter for no other reason than she has just moved into her own home and loves the colour Pink, I had never been a big Anthea Fan, I found her 'too girlie' for my personal tastes.... So imagine my suprise when reading through the book I found it to be practical, she obviously does her own housework, and obviously puts thought into things, because a lot of her tips are really intelligent 'why didn't I think of that type tips'..... I look at the woman with a whole new admiration, this really is a very good book

5.0 out of 5 stars This is THE Italian Cookbook, 22 Jun 2007
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I have collected cookbooks my entire life, and inherited a large collection from my mother and my grandmothers....... Italian food is one area where I had always been disappointed in the past, the books I had previously bought produced the food you get in restaurants, but not the home made taste of Italy ..... This book is different, this book encompasses all that is Italy, authentic home cooked flavours with professional finishes and know how.... when we are at our home in America we eat out in restaurants a lot, and I find myself craving real food - and that is what it is given here real food that tastes good, looks good and satisfies like no other and such clear step by step recipies I would recommend this book to anyone and everyone wanting to cook great italian food.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Addition to any cook book collection, 22 Jun 2007
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I bought this book expecting it to be full of idea's that I would never be able to achieve but could look at and aspire to, how wrong I was, this book is full of step to step instructions that take you right by the hand and guide you to make the cakes and pastries that you have always aspired to make but didn't think you would ever be able to achieve...... an excellent book for expert and novice alike.... bravo.

5.0 out of 5 stars This is THE book on Self Sufficiency, 22 Jun 2007
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This is the best book I have read on the subject of self sufficiency and I have read quite a number since I have been researching the subject, this shows you everything you need to know, laying out your land, how to heat your house with renewable energy sources, waste reduction, crop rotation, butchering your own meat, trussing, cheesemakeing, the layout of your workshop simply everything, a well researched, well thoughtout book.... it really makes you want to go and find a few acres and opt out of the rat race.
