Very enjoyable read. Characters were interesting and sympathetically written. The main character, Jonathan was just pathetic enough to be charming and not annoying. Nice little asides to keep it fresh. An easy read due to short chapters (being a mum of 3 makes longer chapters difficult to squeeze in and if I'm honest a little daunting!), and a very readable writting style.

Would recommend to others in a heartbeat. Nice job Mr Shevlin, nice job.

Didn't really know what to expect, downloaded on a whim and thoroughly enjoyed it. I'm not really sure what it was about other than how important it is to pay attention to the world around you and the ones you love.

It was a nonsensical but lovely book. I wouldn't recommend for those of a scientific disposition though.

4.0 out of 5 stars Gripping but too many characters, 1 Jan 2014
Really enjoyed the passage, by far the best book I'd read in ages. Had to wait a long time for this one to come out and by the time I got to read it I'd forgotten a lot of the characters names. Spent a lot of time having to skim back to figure out who the people were in the current chapter...saying that, once I'd got all the players straight in my head it was brilliant.

Loved the development of the original heroes, and thought Amy's growth was very well depicted. Can't wait now for the climax in the third book.
