Fabulous songs and a real hit with my year 2 class. They ask to sing them all the time.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic book for year 5 English lessons, 15 April 2009
What a surprise this book was!
To follow Hamilton Trust year 5 planning for a formal police report you need it and so I ordered it. It is now my favourite children's book ever! After two weeks they produced fantastic writing as it really caught all of our imaginations. Every time we looked we spotted something else that delighted us.The joy is in the detail.

5.0 out of 5 stars primary resource, 15 April 2009
An excellent resource for primary school teachers looking for examples of writing genre. I have used it to introduce a genre and to identify features before moving on to developing our own writing. Excellent also for 'Assessment for Learning' as examples contain punctuation, connectives, openers and paragraphing for children to identify and discuss how the writing could be improved. An invaluable resource.
The year 6 book was also excellent in the run up to SATs to look at and remind children of the necessary success criteria for a variety of genre.
