2.0 out of 5 stars Change from the earlier series, 13 May 2012

Fans of the earlier Poirot series(1-8) may be dissapointed. From series 9(contained in this collection 6), the quality of the adaptations has changed a lot in a way that there are no more humorous conversations among Poirot, Hastings, Japp, and Miss Lemon. The tone of the stories is now somehow depressing and Poirot seems lonely. Compared to series 1-8, which are very artistic and demonstrate the merits of dramatising the great mystery novels, series 9 and later series are rather banal mystery series, though still watchable solely owing to the good stories written by Christie and David Suchet's superb performances.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good story, 7 May 2012

I love the "Midsomer Murders" tv series, this epsode included.
The story is very original, craftly written by Mr. Steve Trafford, using a rarebird and the "swanlake" story.
This epsode will satisfy fans of this TV series.
Neil Dudgeon is far better in acting than John Nettles, though I like both actors and both characters of John and Tom Barnaby.
The only complain of mine is:
I miss the veteran actor Barry Jackson as Dr. Bullard, and I do not understand why he has been replaced by Tamzin Malleson.
