4.0 out of 5 stars A bit disappointing, but overall very enjoyable, 14 Nov 2003
This New now CD suprised me!
Usually they have many old songs on them, and about two early releases.
But this one is great! It has many Number ones, Eg. Sugababes (Hole in The Head), Kylie (Slow), Fatman Scoop FT. Crooklyn Clan (Be faithful) and the black eyed peas top tune Where is the love?
Containing a few stinkers, (S club 8 etc.) it is very good for parties. With early release of javine's single surrender (your love) which many people may be happy about. Many good dance songs and sing-a-longs which is a good reason to buy it (Jamelia, Daniel bedingfield, Amy Studt).
It is suitable for anyone, containing pop (s club 8,sundown) rock (nickleback, someday)rap (Fatman scoop,be faithful) even an oldie! (Elton John, are you ready for love?!)
Bad Point: Some old songs (justin, stacie orrico, lumidee etc.)
but well worth the money and one of the best so far, Now 56 is good quailty and a perfect X-mas present!

1.0 out of 5 stars This really is going too far!, 25 Oct 2003
This review is from: Home Alone 4 [2002] [DVD] (DVD)
Why, oh why can't the makers of Home Alone stop! The first two home alones are superb! They lead great storylines and have good humour in there too, and the act of Kevin McCallister by Maculy Culkin is expert! The third home alone was pushing it a bit, but is still enjoyable, but unfortunately everyone is played by different actors. But this, HOME ALONE 4 is really going off limits. It starts with the same old storyline, - It's Christmas! It is the same old dragged out christmas time, and nine yr old kevin is left alone in his super cool new house, too sort out the robbers, because as per usual no-one belives him about them (suprise, suprise!) Also I noticed in Home Alone 2, Kevin is Ten but in Home Alone 4, He is Nine! Everyone, Buzz and Megan and all the children look much younger. The acting and script is weak, and the traps are not as nearly as good as they were on the others. It is mostly going to appeal to youngsters who like toilet humour! I think it was a real dissappointment, and most of the things that happen are unbelievable as they are too extraordinary. This is the worst so far any try to avoid it as it ruins the whole plot of all the others.

5.0 out of 5 stars An excellent portrait of the classic book, carrie., 12 Oct 2003
This review is from: Carrie [VHS] (VHS Tape)
This psycholoically thrilling ride of a horror movie will have you in tears, laughing and feeling sorry for carrie.
Carrie is an isolated teenager, depressed and lacking self confidence. She has no friends and only THIS is how she releases her awesome power of telekinses. This is horror has emotion, fun and a great plot. This is one of the best Stephen king films and i urge you to see it if you haven't already. Sissy Spaeck is perfect for the part, as i think no one else could portray such vunrableity as her. This is worth every star i give it as i think anyone will be able to enjoy this genius movie.

5.0 out of 5 stars A chilling film that will have you on the edge of your seat!, 19 Sep 2003
This review is from: Misery [1991] [DVD] (DVD)
This chilling and disturbing thriller will keep you jumping on the edge of your seat!
Kathy bates is perfect for playing Annie, a mad number one fan of Paul Sheldon, a famous writer and his books.
But when paul sheldons car crashes outside Annie's home in the middle of nowhere that is when you know the thrills will begin.
This frightfully fun thiller/horror captures stephen king at his best.
with brilliant directing and cast this is one you'll never ever forget...............(Don't forget The famous lines of Annie calling Paul 'Mister Man!')
