Looking for Babies and got this, 14 Feb 2004
Ironically, I stumbled into Britpop over a 4th of July weekend (1996) and haven't looked back since thanks to many artists but none so more than Pulp. I wanted the CD with Babies (the one track of theirs I heard), but all the record store had was Different Class. I eventually caved in and bought that instead. At first listen, each track got better up until Live Bed Show, which I didn't like at first cos it was too slow. And then I didn't much care for Feelingcalledlove. But I have since come round to both. It's one of those great albums that you can listen to from start to finish, then have a yearning to hear it again. The best is when you time it so that Bar Italia ends around 5 or 6 am. Even the b-sides are worthy (as if they were picking up Suede's slack). Different Class is absolute perfection and second only to Doolittle as best album ever!
