This series of books is absolutely amazing! Uthred is a mint character and its written so well it makes you wanna get some armour on start hacking people up in a battle or something! I've nearly finished the series now and I'm gutted,I read the Arthur series and they were just as good! Right I'm off to sharpen my battle axe coz there's a gang of chavs outside my local that need there heads removing!!!

1.0 out of 5 stars Where is it???, 31 Oct 2013
I'd like to write a nice review for this item but having ordered it a month ago I still haven't got it as they neglected to mention it would be coming from China!! At 4.40 it's hard to get mad about it,I just keep getting thoughts of a little Chinese postman riding his push bike all the way from Beijing to Blackpool and never knowing what speed he's going because the fitting instructions are in English!!

2.0 out of 5 stars Dull and badly translated!!, 30 Jun 2011
Got this book as ive read a few similar ones but was disappointed by the translation,i think in its first language it would probably read a lot better. There is way too many characters with unpronounceable names and you tend to get bogged down with it and cant enjoy the story, maybe its just me being lazy but i couldnt get into it and found it too slow and it feels a little depressing at times! Dont take my word for it though, have a read and let me know what you thought!

4.0 out of 5 stars Great book but lacks a bit of colour, 30 Jun 2011
Book came next day and was in mint condition! Theres a lot of information to try and squeeze into one book and i think theyve done pretty well, all thats missing is a few pictures for each place! Most people use these books for a little inspiration and dont take the books with them when they go travelling because of the weight so the lack of pictures and a bit of colour is a little disapointing, but then i suppose you can get all that on the net so it doesnt matter that much!
