5.0 out of 5 stars One for everyone who couldnt get tickets, 11 Sept. 2000
The full story behind the PSB residency at the Savoy in London this video is a must for the casual PSB fan featuring an indepth and often highly amusing documentary followed by a performance of the show. On stage Neil and Chris interact with filmed footage by artist Sam Taylor-Wood. The whole package is an absolute delight having you listening intently through the doco then dancing round your living room to the concert footage.

No wonder people used to say the Pet Shop Boys had a "Pop Strategy" to release an album of remixes from your first album may not be totally original its certainly a fine trick to make evey one of them a winner. The album sounds in places like a time capsule of the mid 80's but it is the PSB's at there most compelling. Suburbia's full horror is divine, Chris Lowes monotone delivery of paninaro is still a rare treat anyone who remembers the clothes show will have a hard time not prancing about to In the night. This DISCO needs you!

5.0 out of 5 stars They might not know but they always deliver, 7 Sept. 2000
You have to wait ages for a new PSB single to come out, its hard at times waiting but with singles like this its almost worth it. Everything about this package is right the fantastic A-side produced by David Morales to the sublime silver age and the menacing Screaming. Buy it now then treat yourself to the album!

This album is as fresh now as it was the day they realeased it Left to my own devices is a disco stomper, I want a dog is fab, the whole album brims with pop and hints of what the PSB's were capable of. Just buy it you wont regret it.

5.0 out of 5 stars The milky bars are on me!, 30 April 2000
OK so its a quiet saturday night and you figure, "I'll stay in... have some wine, maybe watch a movie" If that movie is human traffic before the midpoint you will have called your friends and left the building... not the most positive start to a review, but its because the film is SO good that you have to turn it off and enjoy your own club culture. Funny, Inventive, friendly, likable its a bunch of best mates in a video box.

5.0 out of 5 stars For your own good buy this tonight!, 26 Mar. 2000

It's a funny thing being a Pet Shop Boys fan you spend years waiting for the next album and when it finally comes along its always exactly what you were hoping it would be.
In this case its futuristic, fresh, and yes the best PSB album in ages. Produced by Craig Armstrong (Romeo and Juliet Score), Rollo (famous for his work with Faithless), Club DJ David Morales and the boys themselves, the album delivers a fresh perspective to the PSB sound. From the trance-like Euphoria of "For Your Own Good" to the sheer disco of "New York City Boy" With an elegance of using strings "In a non bombastic way" on tracks like "You Only Tell Me You Love Me When Your Drunk".
If you liked the singles you should buy this album, if you're a fan you already have it so why are reading this review?
