1.0 out of 5 stars Half-truths typical of evangelical churches, 16 April 2013
Although I don't own this book I had a chance to look at it in a Christian bookshop and it is a typical evangelical critical one-sided argument that is full of half-truths. If you want to find out about a certain religion the best way is to ask members of that religion. These type of books are void of the way Christ taught. I would give it 0 stars if I could.

5.0 out of 5 stars Useful aid, 16 April 2013
This is an excellent book for a review of all the main beliefs of the major religions, I have found this a useful book in understanding people from different religions. It is different from many books that are available on this subject because it doesn't aggressively attack other religions. But you don't have buy , you can ask any of Jehovah's witnesses to bring you one.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good, but not deep study, 19 Dec 2012
This is put in a very simple format, it is not for word study, as it is not translated word for word as most interlinear, but rather a normal translation put in the format of a interlinear. But still worth having in your library. Also a little expensive.

4.0 out of 5 stars A fine translation, 14 Dec 2012
What I liked about this Translation, is that the translator was free from the bias that we see in many church backed translations, such as the NIV, GNB and so on. But he does have some odd ideas and no chapter and verse make it difficult to use in study. I would recommend bible students to have one.

I found the idea to have a literal & free translation side by side a really good idea. New and fresh, good for both bible reading and for study.I have found it useful in my bible study. It includes helpful translator notes. I would recommend this translation to anyone who would like a fresh translation.

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the best translations you can buy, 11 May 2011
I think that this translation is one of my favourites, because the footnotes are detail, but not confusing easy to understand put in plain language. The translation in a literal, but is readable too. I recommend that all Christian have one in their library and for understanding the New Testament, it is far better than reading a NIV, KJV or any other of the more common versions. I especially like the footnote on John 1:1. The BFBS have started printing them again, if you can't find them here you can buy them from the BFBS.

2.0 out of 5 stars The most accurate translation????, 9 May 2011
The most accurate translation????
As someone who has got a lot of respect for the scared name of God, I am always keen to read translation that show the same respect by using it where it belongs. I managed to download in PDF format (for free). But this one is rather strange; they say it has been translated 1st Century manuscript. This is taken from the introduction: "The Original Scriptures E1 is translated from 1st century manuscripts called Restoration Original Scriptures- (ROS07-ROS14, Revelation- ROS238) found in 2009 AY (¯After YAHUW" in 7 BC) or 2002 AD in ancient eastern YAsarel (Bara/Gen 15:18), just west of the Euphrates River near the famous ancient eastern ¯silk road. Seven of the manuscripts have been carbon dated to around 77 AY (70 AD)".
They have some strange ideas about true worshippers such as the YAHUWans were in America mining before the arrival Columbus and they were the 1st to discover such places as the HimalaYA Mountains, ScandinaviYA, IndonesiYA, the AHwaiian islands and the AmericAHs.

Other statements are rather strange or incorrect like: "fifth edition of the English Catholic Authorized King James Version" or that all nations contain the scared name
It speaks of a especial calendar which is the only correct one in the world and somehow important for salvation. Also it is very difficult reading, it has a lot of inserted word that make it hard to understand.
On the other hand I think it's good they try to put the scared name in the new testament, also follow a lot of other Jewish/Christian religions (Assemblies of Yahweh and group like) this with the removal of the word cross, Jesus and Jehovah for more Hebrew name.
Though I haven't read all of it, as I don't enjoy reading from the computer, I think there many more sound translations that restore the scared name. If you do want a copy you can download it for free.
