Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Magic. 1400s-1950s (Hardcover)
This purchase was a gift for a friend who is into their magic history - this was THE best present. It's an incredibly rich resource for anyone with any level of interest in the subject of magic.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very good unit. Easy to use, 9 Jan 2011
The printer was a christmas present and was very well accepted.

It was quick and intuitive to set up quickly. Well made and came with everything (except USB lead as is often the case). Connected itself to my network easily and was pretty straightforward to register for online email printing.

It can access google documents online and print from your account as well as email. An iPad connected to the unit automatically and didnt need any drivers.

Very good purchase.

3.0 out of 5 stars Pretty good., 31 Dec 2009
I bought the book as a gift and the recipient was reasonably happy with it. The content is pretty good with lots of information and pictures but I was slightly disappointed by the cover - the hardback cover is good however, the centre image of an aeroplane is simply a sticker placed on a recessed area which in my case, had been stuck on at an odd angle, crossing between the recessed and raised parts of the cover. This looks a bit tacky - I would have expected better quality control from a DK book.

Overall, pretty good though - I'd hope my grievance with the quality is the exception.
