5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent companion, 12 Mar. 2010
Being a learner, I'm keen to try to improve as quickly as possible.
Memorising and practising your chords is one thing, but nothing gets you learning them faster (not least to say much more enjoyably) than playing songs.

This little book is an excellent accompaniment whether you're an experienced player looking to expand your repertoire, or a beginner like me.

There will be songs inside that everyone knows, Bob Dylan, Beatles, The Cure, Dolly Parton, Johnny Cash - honestly, something for everyone.

The difficulty of the songs is wide ranging, some of them not requiring more than 3 or 4 major chords, while others might tax even an experienced guitarist.

As others have stated, the pages happily stay open on your lap, and the vast majority of the songs span only two pages, so you rarely need to turn mid-way.

And also, incredibly helpfully, there is a fold-out chord chart in the back of the book that extends in such a way that you can have it open at the same time as the song you are playing. Be warned though, being a small book, the chart does require fairly close observation as the symbols are quite small, but regardless it's an excellent extra.

This is one to keep in your guitar bag.

5.0 out of 5 stars None but the most discerning professional need buy anything else., 17 Feb. 2007
I received my Volito 2 today and am already totally hooked. Despite it's diminutive size (A6 is the size of a postcard) navigating the cursor around the screen is easy and natural.

Having used full size Volitos at work- A4 etc, I really can't see any reason to opt for anything larger unless you really need infinite control over highly detailed work (not to mention the accompanying tennis elbow!). For anything else, I would say this little tablet is unbeatable

The Good:

Quick Navigation

Good build quality

Tutorial and bundled art software are both excellent (I'm a rubbish artist but the "trace" feature in the ArtRage software could have people believe otherwise)

Customisable settings (Pressure, screen area etc)

The Bad:

Button pushing on the pen is tricky to get used to.

USB cable is only 1m long, fine if you have USB ports on your desk e.g on the keyboard, but a bit of a pain otherwise.

This is an excellent addition to any desktop and at Amazon's price (which is bizarrely 95p less than what I paid yesterday) demonstrates unbeatable value.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent headphones, 23 Mar. 2006
A lot of people on here seem to be judging these headphones purely on their bass capabilities. This is probably an important issue for Dj's etc but I personally haven't found any issue with the bass response.
The majority of the time I have these cans plugged into my computer, laptop or video camera. The sound quality is great and they do a really good job of limiting outside noise- particularly good when filming. I also use them to play bass guitar and the sound is great.
If i have a niggle my ears get a bit sore after prolonged use- 1 1/2 hours +, but I do have a big head.
:)
