This is a great sequel to the two previous Spooky books - another spine-chilling collection of gruesome tales, enhanced by some wonderful illustrations. If you get the Kindle version, I strongly recommend reading this book on a device that enables you to see it in colour to fully appreciate the atmospheric pictures.

Leaders' Map

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent guide to becoming a better leader, 28 Dec 2013
This review is from: Leaders' Map (Kindle Edition)
This entertaining and inspiring guide is written from the author's own considerable
experience of leadership in a wide variety of organisations.

Despite its title, this book does not provide a rigid roadmap, rather a set of flexible
guidelines to help you develop your own leadership pathway, appropriate to your
particular needs.

One of the things I enjoyed most about Leaders' Map is its readability. From start to
finish, the book is peppered with engaging quotations, stories and analogies, which
really bring the training to life. There are also plenty of exercises and questions,
which will get you thinking and help you apply the principles to your own personal
situation.

The book challenges you to reflect on your own personality, circumstances and leadership
roles and to create your own unique Leader's Map, taking into account the challenges and
roadblocks you're likely to face along the way.

If you want to become a more effective leader, I highly recommend Leaders' Map. This
book doesn't just give you a fish - it teaches you how to fish.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Delightful Christmas Story!, 4 Dec 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This is a beautiful, very touching little Christmas story that young children will enjoy very much (and Mums and Dads!) An interesting twist on the usual "letter to Santa" theme, this tale involves a letter from some neglected Christmas presents in need of care and attention. Charming illustrations throughout make it very entertaining - a joy to read. Highly recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars A charming Christmas tale, 27 Nov 2013

This is an absolutely lovely Christmas story about a little angel who goes astray. It's beautifully illustrated, with images that capture the delightful atmosphere of the tale. Small children will love this book and I'm sure adults will have great fun reading it to them. The plot is simple, but has enough tension and incident to hold a child's attention. It has all the ingredients you could wish for - angels, furry animals with attitude and, of course, Santa Claus and his reindeer. Highly recommended - a great stocking-filler!

5.0 out of 5 stars More Great Spooky Tales!, 1 Nov 2013

This is a fabulous collection of period ghost stories, enhanced by some stunning, seriously scary illustrations, which really make the tales come to life.

I'd highly recommend this worthy follow-up to the first volume of Spooky tales - perfect bed-time reading for those dark winter nights, especially if you like a good fright!

5.0 out of 5 stars Save time and get more done, 10 Dec 2012

This is a fantastic resource for anyone who wants to discover how to get the most out of their limited time, talents and resources. It's jam packed full of practical, actionable tips and advice, and the author generously provides lots of examples from his own experience, which helps you understand how to implement the strategies in practice.

I'm certainly going to be trying some of these ideas out for myself - like the 'pomodoro' technique, which sounds simple but very effective.

All in all, a great project management handbook for internet marketers - very helpful.

5.0 out of 5 stars Why worry?, 3 Aug 2012

A great 'call to action' for anyone paralysed by fear, indecision or regret. It's basically a new twist on that popular old chestnut 'seize the day' - but that's my kind of philosophy. A simple and powerful message that made me feel glad to be alive and determined to make the most of what's left of my life on planet earth. Some of it reminded me of the teachings of Anthony de Mello, who encourages you to reflect on your own death - strange as it may seem, it's one of the most life-enhancing things you can do. A very inspiring read.
