2.0 out of 5 stars Superior HD, Inferior 3D, 31 Jan 2012
The only good thing I can say about the Sony Bravia KDL32EX723BU is that the HD picture quality is stunning, meaning first impressions were very good, however things very quickly take a turn for the worse.

Not only does this T.V not come with 3D glasses, but they are sold at an extortionate price. Things only get worse though once you've given in and bought the glasses. the 3D is so plagued by ghosting that whilst you do get the depth, it just isn't anywhere near the quality you expect.

On paper it also seems a fully featured set, but if you do want to take advantage of the internet functions, you must buy another extortionately priced aony add-on.

Were this an HD-only set I would give it 5 stars, but to offer this as a 3D T.V to me is false advertising, as the 3D picture quality is so poor that they may as well have not included the option.

A very disappointing television that will soon be on it's way back to amazon.

5.0 out of 5 stars Ridiculously good, 22 Mar 2011
Just brilliant, excellent bass response and as simple to fit as any other speaker. Sound quality is unprecedented and the directional sound (meaning the sound is directed to the front of the car) is a real bonus.

4.0 out of 5 stars Incredibly entertaining tripe., 22 Mar 2011
This review is from: Skyline [Blu-ray] (Blu-ray)
This is one of those films that is incredibly difficult to rate. As you will be aware, and having been made abundantly clear from other reviews; the script in this film is terrible. There is no denying that fact, but going into this film with that knowledge increases the entertainment to no end.

This is a film that that is greater than the sum of its parts in my opinion. A bad script, and by extension bad acting actually do little to harm it. In fact the worst (though still enjoyable) parts of this film are the most derivative scenes, of which there are plenty. War of the Worlds and Independence Day are probably the most plagiarised, but any sci-fi afficianado will spot plenty of stolen scenes.

I suppose what really redeemed this film was the action scenes, as well as the most engaging alien threat committed to film since the aforementioned War of the Worlds remake. Make no mistake, the aliens are not as threatening or original as can be found elsewhere, but they do have a sense of overwhelming doom that most end of the world films really fail to convey.

In the end, the relatively small budget is evident in the acting and not the action, and in reaching for the sky and coming up short this ambitious film is destined to garner bad reviews and a lot of hate, but will be considered a flawed gem by a cult following. And rightly so, as with the right mindset this is an enjoyable action flick that is easy on the brain (Unless you happen to star in the film. Watch it, you'll see what I mean).

1.0 out of 5 stars Less Than Meets The Eye, 7 Aug 2007
The new Ipod shuffle is the ultimate proof that people will often choose style over substance. With very few functions besides the ability to shuffle music, the Shuffle is essentially an overpriced memory stick with a headphonejack and a play button. It costs around the same price as other top brand mp3 players such as the Creative Zen Stone Plus and Walkman NW-S205, but they have alot of things the shuffle does not, for wxample: Both sporting twice as much memory, small but usable screens, compatability with a much wider range music formats and many more functions. With other much better mp3 players on the market for much better value, I really see little point in owning the Ipod Shuffle until it atleast becomes much cheaper.
