Sony NP-FM500H Rechargeable Battery Pack
Sony NP-FM500H Rechargeable Battery Pack

5.0 out of 5 stars Stunning battery life, 17 Jan. 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Genuine Sony Info-Lithium batteries provide remarkable longevity. The down-side is that they can be ridiculously expensive, depending on where they are bought.

I got an excellent deal here on Amazon and, at this price, wouldn't even consider putting dodgy, cheap, third-party batteries into my A77. Also, only genuine batteries provide correct "time-remaining" data.

I just wish there were fewer variations in size between batteries and chargers. Three Sony cameras, three different battery types and three different chargers!!!!

4.0 out of 5 stars Irritating installation procedure, 17 Jan. 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
For the Macintosh version, Adobe have finally provided native 64bit versions of both applications which is great news. I believe that PC users still have a wait on their hands.

The only real irritation is that, in spite of having purchased boxed, physical software with a serial number, Adobe insists on the invasive necessity to create an online Adobe ID before allowing you to install your bought and paid for software on your own hardware.

When attempting to log in using my existing ID, I was informed that I would need to reset my password via an e-mail that took hours to arrive. This comes as a consequence of the huge data breach Adobe experienced last year.

Short version, it took hours to install software because the company demands data that it has been demonstrated to be unable to protect!

Interface is more than a bit crowded on a non-retina 13" MBP

3.0 out of 5 stars Older 32-Bit Application - Wait for new version, 6 April 2013
At a reduced price of £32, at first this application appears to be a bargain but, with the Macintosh installation, it soon becomes apparent that all is not what it seems. This discounted package remains a comparatively old version (despite the 2012 date) albeit with the useful latest versions of Raw Converter. That Adobe is still flogging a 32-Bit application should come as no surprise to those familiar with their update history. Effectively, this is (minimally) a four year old application with a few updates.

I would not recommend this sluggish version to users running 10.8 Mountain Lion (or 10.7 Lion for that matter).

Buyer's should probably consider the current discounts as an act of channel clearance in advance of a new release that is hopefully (but probably not) fully 64-Bit.

5.0 out of 5 stars Well kept secret!, 3 April 2007
I very recently purchased a Bush/Nordmende 3215 32" LCD and was disgusted to find streaking, uneven backlight and other flaws with my first LCD TV purchase. On exchange, I opted for this Toshiba based on price and reputation in the face of other offerings from Sony, Philips, Samsung and LG, but nervous that I might yet be disappointed. I needn't have worried! If you are concerned about deep blacks, accurate and adjustable primary and secondary colour balance from an HDMI or Component HD input, look no further. It doesn't have DVBT but that's what cable and Sky are for! For gamers, the 2nd HDMI input is a definite plus, giving you a total of three HD input options, 2 HDMI and 1 Component. You can also have SD RGB over one of the SCARTS if you wish from a normal SkyBox. It also has PC XGA input. In short, the scope for image adjustment is excellent, having backlight level adjustment independent of the brightness/contrast controls also. This is a simple and straightforward HD Television with adequate connectivity and adjustment and first class picture quality for a good price. I don't know what some might want from a display that this doesn't provide (apart from an integrated DVB tuner!). Highly Recommended! At less than 200 more than I paid for the Bush/Nordmende device that I would strenuously warn people to avoid, you get what you pay for but sometimes you don't have to pay that much more to get exactly what you want!
