Not much use for a lone dieter, 20 May 2013
Nerly all the recipes are for 4 or 6 people, so unless you're a fat family a lot of adjustment (or freezing down) required. Recipes themselves OK but not for a solo dieter

Does what it says on the tin, 20 May 2013
No pretty piccies, but if you want food porn you only have to turn on the TV..... So many cook books give quantities four 4 or 6 whereas dieting is something most people do grimly alone! This is therefore very useful, saving lots of mental arithmetic or just plain impossible recipes. Well worth the purchase.

Will order again, 11 Mar 2013
Good quality fruit. Great not to have to lug heavy tins from the supermarket. Not soggy like some tinned fruit.

Good value, 11 Mar 2013
Seem good quality. Only mild problem is that they are cut on the large side - if ordering again I would go for the next size down.

Wonderful to have hardback re-issue, 2 Mar 2013
I originally bought a copy of this from the long-defunct Cookery Book Club back in the 70's, and my very battered volume was falling apart all over the place from constant use. Classic English & French cookery clearly explained. Constance Spry was, of course, a product of her time so some of the recipes seem a little bland; we are used to having ready access to a range of ingredients she could only have dreamed of. But still a classic worthy of a place on the bookshelf on any serious cook (i.e. not one wanting lush coffee-table piccies). Grab it while you can!

Enjoyable hokum for a Sunday afternoon, 2 Mar 2013
Take a typical avalanche disaster movie, stir in a bit of "Jumanji" and just a suspicion of "The Lord of the Rings" and you've got this stock disaster movie. As long as you have good suspension-of disbelief faculties it's worth a watch!

Wonderfully comfortable uppers but AWFUL soles, 27 Feb 2013
Before you buy these do a bit of research on the net. From Singapore to Chicago people are complaining bitterly about the durability (or rather, lack of it) of the sole. They flake and split and let in water. I mistakenly bought 3 pairs and the same thing happened on all of them. They are difficult if not impossible to repair. Last pairs of ecco shoes I will buy until I hear they've changed their manufacturing techniques.

Pleasant enough, 22 Feb 2013
Tasted fine; though all the fruits tasted exactly the same!. Difficult to avoid with soft red fruits in a tin, I suppose.

Classic, 22 Feb 2013
As long as you are prepared to regard More as a saint (& Hilary Mantel has done a good job of presenting the other side) this is a great and gripping film
