5.0 out of 5 stars Good toothbrush, 6 Feb. 2014
This is my second toothbrush. Does the job well, the two minutes timer is also handy. Looks well made and good quality. Have used it for about three months now, twice a day, no problem. Battery lasts for about five days depending on usage so no need to take the charger for a weekend away etc. this is the cheapest model in the range so no fancy charge indicator or pressure sensor, and no pulsation function. the next model up is about £25, but sometimes you can get it on an offer (one month after I purchased this, I found offer on amazon for the professional clean model for £16!!, which comes with charge indicator, quad timer, travel box, longer lasting battery and pulsation function). So in summary, it's very good for the price and look well made, but keep a look out for offers on a higher model

4.0 out of 5 stars Good for the price, 16 Dec. 2012
This is ny second Philips body groomer. the first one stopped charging after two years of use so had to be replaced.
the box comes with: The body groomer, charger, charging stand, documents, x1trimming comb to 3mm length

1) good value for money. for around £20 (i bought it with discount), its a good value and one of the cheapest body shavers around. it also comes with a two year warranty which can be increased to three if you register it online on Philips website

2) Shaves close enough, with good results. very minimal irritation compared to using a razor. not loud and can be used on all body parts below the neck. can be used in the shower, although its best to use it dry/on dry skin as it does not shave as well when wet.

3) has an indicator to show when it needs charging and when its fully charged. this is useful as I used to leave my last shaver to over-charge and that shortened the battery life. this one tells you when to stop charging.

1) my last philip shaver had rubber inserts in the body to make it grippy in the shower. This one does not and has a glossy/slippery body and design, hence prone to falls in the bath. On my third use, it fell in the bath and I can imagine that few more drops and it could break. so now I put some rubber band around the handle to make it less slippery.

2) unlike my previous shaver, this has no pouch, no cleaning brush and no rubber band to hang it in the shower (minor things really)

3) like my previous Philips groomer, you can only use it whilst on battery power as it does not work when its charging and you can only charge it when its placed in the charging stand anyways. This shortens its effective life as you would have to replace it once the battery stops holding charge even if the shaver is still good.

4) the shaving head is still the same as in previous models. it does not hold very securely onto the shaver. with my last philip groomer, the head became very loose after a while and I had to tape it to the shaver as it would otherwise fall off during use. I anticipate this to happen again as its the exact same design. this is a design flaw that should have been picked up on by philips. the shaving unit has metal studs that click onto plastic grooves in the shaver to hold it in place, and is removed by a simple pulling action. the plastic grooves wear out after a while (esp if you remove the shaving unit for cleaning after each use) and eventually can no longer hold the shaving unit.

5) charging takes 8 hours for 50 minutes shaving. bit too long

So in summary: this is a good basic shaver that is definitely good value for money. It will please you if you only after bit of shaving and trimming, but for those who wants more, e.g different grade trimmers, fast charging etc, best to look at higher end models. This groomer does unfortunately have some design flaws, but I think even the more expensive model also has the same shaving head.

5.0 out of 5 stars excellent choice, 11 Aug. 2005
Really glad i bought this camera. Do not be turned off by the low 3.2MP resolution, the actual picture quality is much better than many other 4MP cameras and above, e.g. the Nikon coolpix4600 which produces unrealistic colours and lots of background noice.
The canon A510 is a high quality camera at a relatively low price. Although the camera has some 20 different settings, including manual modes, it really is easy and fun to use. One little drawback tho, you can only record 3mins of movie at any one time regardless of how much memory you have left on the SD card, a bit dissapointing for a canon camera, but everything else about this camera, battery life etc, is just awesome!!
