3.0 out of 5 stars 5 star for quality -1 star for compatibility with Apple Mac, 3 Mar. 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Printer works fast and quietly and the automatic cutting to size is very good.
It appears better than some of the DYMO label printers, as the "endless" roll of peel-off self-adhesive labels
is cut automatically depending on where the text ends, making great labels for addresses with longer names!
5***** for this

Macintosh (10.8.x) compatibility however is not brilliant, and whilst the printer is recognised instantaneously
by the Mac, it is a pain to print anything from the address book (contacts). DYMO allowed this, whereas the
Brother printer seems to require manual typing in of addresses.
Uses up A LOT (!) of roll experimenting trying to get it to work with Macintosh address book (sorry but I had to review
this rating downwards)
1*

Because the typing out of addresses is minor, compared to the actual printing and results, I have still given it
3 stars in total. Consideration was also the knock-down price on Amazon (£40). Had it not been for that, I would
have been very disappointed as the product is biased towards Microsoft Windows usage.

I keep this specific to the shoe I received.

A superb trainer!
It is not often that a product leaves me speechless: I do have not just big feet (a wide sise UK 12) but also got problems with my toes and their function due to joint issues. I also got nerve problems with my feet, and often can only walk barefoot to get real, true comfort. I received the shoes and put them on straight away: They are extremely comfortable, causing no pain at all to feet that can get irritated by the "wrong" shoe. It is tempting to buy another pair, as these are so good.
They flex with the foot, the feet don't feel "hot" (i.e. make the feet sweat) and are wide enough to accommodate a "wide" foot.

5.0 out of 5 stars big handy portable harddrive, 5 Dec. 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Please note that this iPod may arrive in FAT32 format (Windows).
Normally, any Macintosh computer should recognise it in iTunes. Just follow the iTunes instructions to format it correctly. Should iTunes not recognise it in OSX, then "disk utility" can be used to format iPod.
There are quite a few discussions about the iPod classic not being recognised. This is most likely due to either the formatting or initial low battery power of the iPod.

Also, if anything else fails, toggle the "hold" switch at the top to "locked" and then "unlocked" (with iPod not connected), and then simultaneously hold the centre button the the "Menu" point on the click wheel until the Apple logo shows, which will reset iPod.

Once you managed to get over the initial teething problems, your iPod should give you many years of enjoyment. The battery life of the 160gB iPod is very good, the sound is excellent. Maybe it's not the latest touch-screen technology, but the "classic" iPod does exactly what it's supposed to: store stuff and play music, videos and games. It is a solid case, but it is best not dropped since it has got a moving hard disk drive inside.

5.0 out of 5 stars A sweet little dragon, 21 Oct. 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I am not sure why someone would be disappointed when buying this dragon.

17 cm is about 6", so it is evident that this Steiff toy is not all that large.

It is finely crafted and unlike "Rocky", the big 'relative', will be absolutely comfortable
in a bed. A sweet little thing, Raudi surely deserves a loving home.

Cannot complain about this unusual toy from the renowned Steiff company at all.

5.0 out of 5 stars a very tough lock- Abus Granit-54 X-Plus (Eazykf Bracket), 19 Oct. 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I wanted to replace my previous, 12 year old bicycle lock. The ABUS lock mechanism seems very strong indeed, solidly locking the "D" (or "U") shackle into place. Security keys with specific key card (that can be used to order a spare).
The lock is heavy, which - to me - is good (!). A cheap lock tends to be light, so the weight suggests strong metal, indeed capable of withstanding most attempts to break it.

The "Eazykf" bracket enables you to click the lock into place on the frame and can be released with one hand (thumb depresses release mechanism). It is a nice touch that the fitting comes with two (!) sets of bolts: one longer and one shorter to accommodate frames of various thicknesses.

Even at the regular price of £100, this lock seems to make a good investment; having got it for less, makes it more worthwhile.

3.0 out of 5 stars ok for the reduced price - not a "rugged" light - but LED fine, 19 Oct. 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
The light itself is fine: good, bright LED lights with two settings that either give steady beam or flashing light. The red light to either side of the main beam give a little extra visibility from the viewpoint of oncoming traffic.

The housing feels cheaply made though, and not very tough (plastic feels light and a little flimsy). That really cost the light it's stars. I would not recommend it for a "rough / tough" mountain bike in rugged terrain with maybe debris or tree branches hitting the light as it would probably break. The battery cover needs to be opened by one quarter turn with a coin, which again is a little flimsy.
I cannot see the light lasting for more than a year, especially as I am not sure it is very waterproof (to protect from ingress of rain).

The only reason, the light got 3 stars is because the LED lights seem good and the price was reduced. £16 would have been far too much for this light, I am afraid.

5.0 out of 5 stars Unusual Steiff collectible, a "must" for dragon lovers, 17 Oct. 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Steiff are renowned for their teddy bears. Something like this dragon family (Rocky, Rudi, the dragon boy and Raci, the girl) makes an adorable addition to a Steiff collection.

I don't think that amazon's "educational" value rating for this product is applicable. Saying that, for a child, there are many features that may be attractive: soft "spikes" on the spine, made from soft material, different to the overall soft, fluffy skin, and different to the more "harder" (yet still soft) feel to the wings.

Appearance: I think, the dragon looks stunning. Beautiful colours, the chest marks evidently produced skilfully by hand, a cute face and almost animated eyes, that seem to "look" at one, depending on the angle, the dragon is placed.
Whilst not as "traditional" as a teddy-bear (Rocky may not be comfortable in a bed), it is an unusual addition to the Steiff family, and very caringly made.

The picture on amazon is not perfect, as the dragon's head is "straighter" (as per my own picture uploaded).

Uniross 4 x AA 2700mAh Performance Batteries
Uniross 4 x AA 2700mAh Performance Batteries

5.0 out of 5 stars batteries charged and work, 15 Jan. 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I used my Canon Charger "CB5AHE" for it and the new batteries took about 8 hours to charge, when the charger reported a "full" charge. The batteries do get warm but no hotter than the "Canon" NiMH 1.2V 2500mAh, that are being replaced by the Uniross 2700 mAh ones.
Performance seems great, and I put them into the camera around 4 pm and switching on and off took photos and videos until 9 pm , with constant use of LCD display on "canon SX1 ls" camera (camera also on and off constantly, with motorised lens retracting and opening). Also subsequent connecting to computer to download HD movies taken . the download was also very fast (compared to the old batteries), indicative of good output for this high-drain device.

Very happy.
