Perfect little Camcorder, 13 Jan 2010
I'm not a camcorder expert and wanted a camcorder that was simple to use but still good quality, which this camera definately is!
I haven't read the manual yet, I'm sure I will do but at the moment its working fine without it! The charging time is minimal and the buttons are easy to use and clear as to what they do.
I had initally looked at the Sony HDR CX105 but I'm glad I went with this one. Even though it having no built in memory is slightly annoying, the memory cards are cheap for the quality that they are and it makes no difference whatsoever to the camera itself.
The filming quality is excellent and the little touch screen is faultless. I have only made small films on it so far but even with my shaking hands, the Advanced Optical Image Stabiliser sorted all that out!
The optical zoom is also very good and 16x is probably more than I'll ever need, but its nice to know its there just in case!
Its exceptionally light and fits perfectly into my hand (I have quite small hands anyway) but my partner (who has large hands!) didnt find it too small and it seemed to fit his hand very well too.
I havent tried it in the dark yet however in low level lighting it works fine and the flash light on the front certainly brightens things up. I have used it indoors and did not find it lowered the quality at all.
So overall, a very good little camera for anyone whos not looking to make blockbuster movies on it!
