Knowing Kraan from the 70's and early 80's IthoughtI take a chance on this What a pleasant suprise The sound/genre of the band seems to have shifted away from the lenghty jazzrock workouts of yesteryear to a more rock orienteted sound There's still plenty of excellent musicianship on show and listening to the album in one hit(the only way)it becomes clear that Kraan haven't forsaken their roots alltogether Definitely a five star album
in my humble opinion that lives up to it's title track:Psychedelic Mam!!!

I bought this on the strenght of a magazine review having never heard of the band before What a pleasant suprise this album turned out to be: great vocals, great guitar playing[they are spanish after all]and even a saxophone Almost proggy,in a Uriah Heep sorta way Well worth the money and well worthy of the 4stars If you like classic rock you'll like this I for one will be purchasing their other album as well

Now I don't know what these skandinavian boys put in their tea but may be a few others should try it too The opening track sets the scene and these lads never stray from the path of bluesy rock Long may they continue If you like classic rock you,ll love this Well worth a tenner

This is Astra's guitarists solo album all played by himself and really rather good in a whig out, jazzrock, experimental kinda way If you like Astra,s music there is much to like here Could have been recorded in the seventies and I mean that in a positive way

This is without a doubt Cold Chisel a their hard rockin' bluesy sweaty best If you've never heard of Cold Chisel before this is probably the place to start I bought this originally on vinyl in 1981 and it blew me away and still does From the opener Conversations through the heartfelt Choir Girl via a very good Knockin' On Heavens Door to the final quartet of songs Long As I Can See The Light(top cover version),The Party's Over,Cheap Wine and the frantic closer Goodbye the mood is relentlessly boogie with brains So do yourself a favour and get a copy You won't regret it

Ah, Gary Holten Lead Singer with the Heavy Metal Kids, Solo Artist, Collaborator and Actor All in a short life This anthology sees him perform with Norwegian misician Casino Steel and while there are plenty of ok tunes on this double cd/dvd nothing grabs you by the balls quiete like Delirious by HMK So 3 stars only but good for die hard fans

Yeah, this is where it's at! If you like classy music(as in well written and performed outstandingly) this is for you The version of Kashmir is worth the money on it's own Just totally out there with all the north african instrumentation All the rest is just as good, with perhaps No Quarter and Gallows Pole really impressing this reviewer most Conclusion: if you don't own this album it's high time you did
