South-West France: The Wines and Winemakers
South-West France: The Wines and Winemakers
by Paul Strang
Edition: Hardcover
Price: 25.97

2.0 out of 5 stars map references not shown in text as suggested in introduction (Page 8), 16 Dec 2013
This colourful book was given to me as a present. The introduction (page 8) boasts how producer locations are identified on a map at the beginning of each regional chapter. While numbers are shown on each map, the associated numbers are then missing in the body copy so it is not possible to link the map identifier number to an actual producer. This is clearly an edit error in the print run. The book has been returned due to this error which is repeated throughout each chapter in the book.

2.0 out of 5 stars Must install Firefox, 16 Dec 2013
Purchased this after long wait (not Amazon fault) only to find one must install Firefox to use. Returned for refund but wasted a lot of time not being aware of this issue in advance.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great product / Poor shipping packaging, 22 July 2011
Excellent product, easy to fit - neat when 'closed'. Shipping packaging needs to be improved. Like another reviewer, I too received mine with a small dent to the stainless steel cover. As it is small (2cms) & not in a very prominent position, I have not returned the product. A cardboard sleeve or outer would provide the necessary protection as the sales pack is not robust nor intended to be used for postage, I suspect.
