If your planning on buying the mp3 to transfer and play on your ipod DONT!.The audio is crap with an nasty tinny sound, get it straight from itunes instead, even if you have to pay a bit extra, which i wish i had done. The actual song is great, destined to become a modern xmas favorite in time,so welcome back leona.Song would have got 4 stars on its own,but naff sound just gets 2.

1.0 out of 5 stars TAKING THE P!, 21 Jun. 2013
The content is brilliant and would have been worth 5 stars, but shame on you amazon for hiking the price to such a extortionate level,130 bloody quid!.This was priced at around 40 quid a year ago.Get lost!.

Philips DVDR70 Multi Region Capable DVD Recorder
Philips DVDR70 Multi Region Capable DVD Recorder

1.0 out of 5 stars Avoid this at all costs., 24 Feb. 2008
This machine is pathetic, most of the time it wont even recognise its own recordings, which then play perfectly on my cheap pacific dvd player. Its a lottery when you set the timer for recording as half the time it fails to read the disk and then switches itself off.I have had times when the machine just dies and no buttons work and you have to unplug it to restart. The remote is poor also,as unbelievably the same button controls the chapters and ff/rr button,so its quite easy to accidentley skip a chapter when your trying to fast forward or rewind. You would think that a dvd recorder that cost £220 would have all the necessary features, right?,WRONG!,there is no zoom feature,WHY?.The 1 minor plus for this machine has is that it 6 different recording speeds as a lot of other machines tend to have 4,but im afraid thats the only positive thing i can say about this tempramental piece of junk. I would strongly advise against buying this particular model, but also be cautious with other phillips dvd products.

3.0 out of 5 stars One of the better attempts., 10 Oct. 2007
This review is from: Just Before Dawn [DVD] (DVD)
A nice underated little gem from the early eighties here, you could say a sort of hills have eyes/deliverance hybrid with the usual foolish young adults encountering a pair of grotesque hulking inbred twins, whilst camping in the mountains who despatch most of them with varying savagery until the terrorised spunky female lets them have it with suprising gusto. The director portrays a good degree of menace and fear of wondering just whos lurking in those backwoods. The only small problem is the quality of the dvd transfer,it looks like its been lifted straight from an ancient film or video print and is a bit shoddy,so it loses a star from me for that.Maybe the region 1 is better?.
