5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing Sound Track, 7 Mar 2014
This is an amazing sound track to Harold Lloyd's wonderful The Freshman. It sounds fabulous - Davis at his best.

4.0 out of 5 stars A lovely story but worth reading before you read to your little one.. *spoilers!*, 2 Oct 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Snug (Little Gems) (Paperback)
This is a lovely book, typical Michael Morpurgo, beautifully written, honest and not at all twee! I realised half way through that there was going to be a twist at the end and kicked myself for not double checking as I usually do. There is a twist, which young readers might find upsetting just before bed time. Or they might be robust kids who deal with the scenario. Just worth reading yourself first in case you have a sensitive child. You might not want to be talking about death as you kiss goodnight...!

5.0 out of 5 stars Stunning, 25 Jun 2013
A stunning piece of work - dedicated to the memory of the composer's sister. Joyful, agitated - a mix of emotions - well worth a listen.

5.0 out of 5 stars A firm favourite, 13 Mar 2013
My 16 month old just loves this book - great sensory book with lots of textures to explore and flaps to lift. A great story to read before bedtime - baby recognises his/her routine and it helps them get ready for lights out. A great series of books.

5.0 out of 5 stars Massive Hit, 13 Mar 2013
What a brilliantly timely addition to the Peppa Pig collection. My 4 year old just adores the story and is overcome with excitement planning her own Easter Egg hunt. My one year old, who loves the TV show, does a cute little snort every time he catches sight of the book. Great illustrations and a lovely little story about Granny Pig's chickens too. Very much recommend!

5.0 out of 5 stars Lots of fun and clever too!, 20 Mar 2010
It's fortunate that I quite like this book as I have been made to read it roughly 6 or 7 times a day since its arrival. It's a very clever concept, with so much to keep a child engaged. At 18 months old, my daughter is just starting to learn numbers at her nursery and subsequently at home and on the odd random occasion can count to 3. This book encourages children to touch the actual numbers, matching the word with its actual appearance on the page - genius! And the rhymes are all very engaging - although I don't know the tunes (if there are tunes) to two of them. I tend to sing them to the tune of the Dambusters. Page 5 and its 5 cats are a fantastic finale, cats being daughters favourite animal. A huge success and a step up from the regular 'touch and feel' stable of books. We will definitely be looking up more of the same.

3.0 out of 5 stars great book, not very durable for a one year old, 28 Sep 2009
This book was a huge success with my 13 month old daughter who loves the show. It's only four pages, but good fun. However, she has pulled out the internal pop up mechanisms and ripped off the single external pop up already and she is not a particularly burly or destructive child! We still like the pictures, but it's not really up to the job any more!
