Nicely put together dectective thriller. The characters are plausible and the plot is pretty tight. Certainly wanted to finish the book the more I read. Perhaps it was all to neatly tied up at the end though?

5.0 out of 5 stars Great thriller, great read., 18 April 2012

The start of this book I found disturbing mainly due to the subject matter a child kidnap. But from that moment onwards the book moved at high speed with a thrill a minute. This is a book that is hard to put down. Highly recommended.

4.0 out of 5 stars A gentle whodunit, 18 April 2012

The author manages to capture the remote, simplistic, barren(?) landscape of the setting of this book which gives the characters a charming innocence which is important to the book. The general whodunit is woven around Iclandic folklore and the book within book method is at times tiresome. But on the whole it works and the book is very readable.

4.0 out of 5 stars A ripping yarn, 18 April 2012

Good solid thriller that cuts along at a good pace. It doesn't ask too much of the reader but once reading you're hooked. Hard to put down as it hardly stops to take a breath. If you like the thriller genre it's worth a read.

5.0 out of 5 stars Brillant, 22 Feb 2012

We bought this to replace our DAB radio in the kitchen that had gone kaput. What we didn't really realise was what we had bought. Having internet radio on your IPod it seemed a good idea to have the same in the house. What we also got was access to our complete music collection on our home PC. So easy to set up and the sound quality is superb. Recommended.

4.0 out of 5 stars You get what you pay for, 8 Oct 2010

Bought as a second TV. Delivered on time and initial setup was easy and the TV was working within minutes. Easily portable if you wish to move around. More detailed setup on CD so need a PC to read and then not brilliantly clear. Will have to devote more time to getting that right. However, for what I paid I'm very happy with what I got, great little TV.

4.0 out of 5 stars Nice n' easy, 15 Jan 2010

Easy set up, you need to read the instructions, good sound and DAB reception, good interface with ipod and the remote is a real bonus. Replaced my 30 year old Sony cube, hope it lasts as long.
