Arthur Spiderwick's Field Guide: To the Fantastic World Around You (Spiderwick Chronicle)
Arthur Spiderwick's Field Guide: To the Fantastic World Around You (Spiderwick Chronicle)
by Holly Black
Edition: Hardcover
Price: £16.58

4.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful artwork and concise descriptions, 11 Jan 2014

Although this is not Arthur Spiderwick's Fieldguide as described in the books and seen in the film, it is still well worth having for any Spiderwick fans, young or old! The artwork is colourful and detailed and is accompanied by imaginative, concise but informative descriptions of each creature; I particularly like Arthur Spiderwick's own hand written notes alongside each description.
The one downside are the foldouts, the ends of which are tucked into the spine of the book, making it harder for younger readers to open them out without tearing the page.

5.0 out of 5 stars Shansy Dragon Rider is brimming with character!, 11 May 2013

This review is from: Schleich Shansy Playset (Toy)
This is the first of the Schleich Bayala dragons I ordered and, I must admit, I have not been disappointed! The detail is outstanding and, though the paintwork has a few very small flaws here and there (it is painted by hand), these do little to hinder the overall visual impact of the model. This is a high-quality item that is designed to be durable.

I would highly recommend this dragon model to anybody, be they an imaginative child seeking a companion for their play-time adventures or simply someone who is very much in touch with their inner-child and can appreciate the craftsmanship and quality of this piece.

I'm glad my package was delivered 4 days early, because the anticipation was becoming unbearable!
