Massive Ocean Colour Scene fan but they really should stop releasing new music! There are occasional nice touches but it's far too bland to listen to all the way through.

After listening to If constantly for months I was looking forward to Bill Ryder-Jones' follow up and it doesn't disappoint. It's fantastically mellow but also strangely catchy with shimmering additions to the acoustic style that makes up most of the album. Well worth a listen.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best album since OK Computer, 14 Jan. 2008
This review is from: In Rainbows (Audio CD)
As a Radiohead fan with five albums to my name, I didn't know what to expect from In Rainbows. Every Radiohead album has brilliant moments/songs and frankly gratuitous moments/songs with the obvious exception of The Bends and more particularly Ok Computer which are both masterpices. In Rainbows is very close to those heights and so easily gets a five star rating.
Electronica and guitars are combined brilliantly to create a stunning album. My favourite songs would have to be "House of Cards," "Nude" and "15 Step."

5.0 out of 5 stars brilliant (understatement), 29 Mar. 2005

This is an an album that shows why success in the music industry can be random. Just an exceptional wall of sound from start to finish.
Unusual but totally mindblowing. In my top 10 albums of all time. If you buy one record this year, maybe ever, this should be it.

2.0 out of 5 stars Definition of the word insipid, 26 Jun. 2004
This review is from: Maybe Tomorrow [CD 1] (Audio CD)
I have never heard such a a track out of place with an album. This is just so bland and repetitive. Buy the album, just don't buy this single, unless you're an insomniac.
