Many moons ago I could by a single no problem at all. Then the vinyl people got crafty and it got harder to by a single we were taken in by the Album. Then things started to modernise and along comes the cassette player. This was albums only because it was easier and cheaper to produce. Then crazy time comes and you have the CD. easier to store easier to look after great apart from the fact I want 1 record from the past and have to by the full CD. what ever happened that prevents me purchasing a single record I cry. That night the fairy god mother of BULL!! visits me in a dream and she tells me to behold from the west will come a web sight and that site will be called Amazon and on that site will a magic trick appear to you and that magic trick shall be known as Search MP3. I awoke that morning and found the site and looked at MP3 and was smitten where I sat for I could once more purchase a single. The single I needed was "He Ain't Heavy He's My Brother." I had a very good friend years back so good his family unofficially adopted me. It was the early '70s when we met and things were great until the very late '89 Things happened in my life and I run away from everyone and everything. then I heard that he was dead and had been for a number of years. My mate was very big. he had big bones and often made light of it himself. There was a pub we used to use and when we walked in we put the song on. I miss my mate a great deal and when I play it or hear it I can visualise my mate Joe laughing his head off at me. sometimes it's as if I can hear his laughter. So thank you Amazon it is great being able to by singles again

I confess that I didn't go on line to get War of the worlds. The title actually set a few of the old grey cells rushing around. I'd read something about it causing mayhem in the USA. so sod it I allowed my curiosity to open the old wallet and purchase it. Well in this case curiosity was not a killer. I have on many occasions downloaded the spoken book but this was something new well as new as an old thing can be. I can not imagine any body getting into a panic over this play. However I must admit for most of my long weary life (all say ugh) I have been addicted to the TV and can not put myself into the radio listeners of that time. To the point now I payed for the broadcast so I could laugh at history. How wrong I was so much so that I have now placed in my MP3 player to listen to on my way to sunnier climates. Three hours on a plane. As well as being pleasant to listen to, it really is, it is one of the few things of the spoken word I can listen to very start to finish without the need to pause it and leave the room. I thought it not as good as Mr Wayn's musical version then came the Idea why not try to engage the two together. It is something I intend to attempt on my return from holiday. watch this space

Who on this earth could climb to number with a childish sort of song. I loved Eric & Ernie but I don't think even they could of done it. In all honesty I think that Benny Hill was the only entertainer that could do it. Straight away you knew that this was going places and it wasn't the bin. His pose was just right and he was one of the few comedians who got laughter just walking on the stage. His Child like humour was spot on along with his play on the English language IE I put the oars in them little thing! Rowlocks? No I did honest People would not laugh if Bernard Manning tried that one out. but Benny Hill could get tears of laughter. It was a shock when he died to find out he died alone. I new he was a bit of a private man but never to that access. God Bless Benny yet another bright star in the ske

I sit and wonder sometimes if I'm becoming a grumpy old man. There is not a lot on the telly that makes me laugh anymore. As I sat listening to Bernard it brought it home "Generation comedy". Laughter in my youth was easy I found so much to laugh at. Monty Python, The Goodies and the Young Ones would see me and my brothers rolling around with laughter. The grown up's (Mum & Dad) would stare at us as if we came from a different Planet..The problem is I am now the grown up who keeps a straight face while my kids watch their brand of humour. Apart from Mrs Browns Boys). This made me thing is it just a Generation thing or am I changing as I get older. Guess what? It is generation comedy with out a doubt. Bernard reminded that I did, and still do, have a sense of humour.. God Bless Bernard and thank you

Imagine if you will the expression on some young sales girl in a modern music/record shop if I was to ask for a Roger Whittaker. Yet all I have to do to avoid to blank or confused looks is get on line. I admit this is not everyone's taste in music but if your to young to remember, or old enough to forget, just try it out. You, like myself, may be pleasantly surprised. I'm not actually shouting it from the roof tops but I have mentioned it to several friends and most seem to have forgotten Roger. I'd willingly recommend this album and the site because of the simplicity of the down load plus the fact if there is a track you don't like don't buy it. show me any major out let that can do that on their Cd's!

Spot on and it has to be loud. You can spot the ex squadie going past because he look as if ready for marching. No body has moaned about it yet but come summer with the windows open ???? If music be the food of gods I now know why the Army marches on their stomachs (Duke of Wellington) Cor I've just impressed myself.

This product has "gone up in smoke" Well not all of it yet. I have been dissapointed with results of another top brand name so I have switched to Swan. I've been pleased with the product as well as the service after ordering. Will use the site again

I'm my youth I had every thing Simon & Garfunkel released, but in my constant moving around I slowly lost it. Then a few weeks ago I heard the sound of silence being played on the radio and it revitalised long lost memories. I checked on Amazon and found Simon and Garfunkel's Greatest Hits. Not long after ordering I received the CD and sat back to listen thinking I would be disappointed, as a lot of music from years gone by tends to leave me. I put the CD on with thoughts of embarrassment and I was proved wrong. I recalled what I enjoyed about them and it really was (and still is) music to chill by. That's why I've taken so long in doing a review and should that be an irritation to any one just get it yourself and chill

I've had the Espresso coffee Machine For a few months now & in that time The novelty has gone. I now look on it as something I would struggle without. 1 drawback is I now get little satisfaction from instant coffee. Not a major draw back as when visiting I drink T. I worry that my working class status may be in danger of spilling into middle class
