5.0 out of 5 stars Well worth the wait, 19 April 2014

As usual a riveting read. And having listened to John on radio 2 . This book just confirms how consistent John Connolly is in writing the Charlie Parker collection of books. One of my favourite authors. And indeed my favourite set of characters that I invest my time in over and over again. I know one day their story arcs will reach a final destination. But I hope its still a long way off.

Very well written. And immediately you are already thinking of buying the sequel(which hasn't been released yet) . Far better than most fantasy novels. And feels similoar to games of throne. But has its own identity.

I have decided to s t art writing again after 20 years. And needed a little interlude . I'm picked this book up on the basis of the price and started reading. Well damn steve mchugh as i realised this is the book i wished id written. Fast paced ,well written. It captivates you and like any good story immerses you entirely into his imagination. You wont be sorry. Now where did i misplace my quill?

4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent addition to the series, 13 Jan 2013

It always surprises me that I have begun to enjoy the E universe stories more than the original trilogy. But that doesn't mean their isn't a lot of substandard dross within that collective. This story whilst not ground-breaking ! Does provide a different perspective from a lone Jedi trapped in Sith space. I suppose
the narrative comprises elements of a Jedi terrorist with industrial espionage. And dare I say it the Shakespearean matriarch led Sith antagonists add depth. I would buy and read this if you enjoy star wars .well written it provides a nice read with most of the star wars prerequisite artefacts and plot structure.

The War of Angels
The War of Angels

5.0 out of 5 stars A must read, 9 April 2012
This review is from: The War of Angels (Kindle Edition)
In the deluge of angel/demon themed novellas "The war of angels" rises above the dross. It does exactly what the title says. it provides a landscape of the final catacalysmic war between heaven and hell. True it ties it in with human frailty and emotions and relationships. But whereas normally satan would be working through a human antagonist then at the last minute reveal his precence but from the angels perspective. ideaologies and philosophies proffered by the human protagonists echo some of my own thought processes on the subject. fast paced with well written battle scenes. well worth the £3
