5.0 out of 5 stars Just the job in Nepal., 10 Oct. 2014

Bought these for a trek in Nepal. They did a good job. Easy to adjust, compact enough to fit in a case and on a rucksack. Always felt sturdy. Could not have done the trek without them. A tiny bit heavier than my partners but felt more robust.

5.0 out of 5 stars Not used a sewing machine for thirty years, 30 Mar. 2013

Delivered on time. Great DVD to explain basics. Wasn't sure about attempting to use a sewing machine - haven't used one since school. This machine is easy to use even for such a novice. I've made cushions and moved on to recover a chair seat and back now tackling inserting zips. Very pleased with this purchase. Consider it very good value for money.

1.0 out of 5 stars Why were there chapters when he wrote to way he did???, 4 Jan. 2008
This review is from: My Booky Wook (Hardcover)
If you are going to write a book, don't deviate from the point of the chapter title. In every single chapter the first paragragh or two describes the chapter and then it just goes onto another subject altogether which has nothing at all to do with the chapter. I was a big fan of Brand before, and still am to some degree but he should stick to his radio show ad stand up - not writing.
