5.0 out of 5 stars Love this watch!, 10 Feb 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I've had this for a few months now, having purchased it in about October. So far it's been awesome - one of the best watches I've owned. It's comfortable, fashionable, colourful (I love the design), and great quality.

The face is just the right size, and the light is super handy. It has an interchangeable strap, too, so you can have a spare in case of copious rain, or in the event you have some kind of coffee-spillage accident. It also means that you can make it look fresh if you desire. Most importantly, it keeps the time really well and has yet to go too fast or too slow.

It's a shark with a frickin' laser mounted on its head, what more need I say? The best way to deliver a presentation on your evil plans.

Moleskine Large Ruled Hard Notebook - Green
Moleskine Large Ruled Hard Notebook - Green

I buy these notebooks every year, to use as a journal. I just haven't found anything better to store all of my thoughts, and the random little clippings and photos and such that I pick up and hoard each year.

The little pocket at the back is perfect for storing small bits of paper, but glue works really well on the paper itself, so you need only apply a little to stick things in if you prefer. It comes with some cute little ideas in the back of it, which is kinda nice.

The paper is awesome - it's kinda soft, makes my handwriting look neat (which is no easy feat!), and it's just the right colour so that you can see it in super bright light (so you can still scribble away during the summer). However if you are the kinda person that presses really hard on paper, this might not be the notebook for you, since the paper is too thin for that.

It's the perfect size for travelling, and fits into most bags as well as large coat pockets. The green is a nice touch too - my favourite colour!

I am so glad this calender exists. It's funny (and continues to be for the duration of the month), vaguely topical, and cheers me up no end. It's also really good quality, so will probably last the whole year without tearing!

I wore this to meet my new mentees at university. I would absolutely suggest wearing this randomly in public gatherings such as that; you can learn an awful lot about people by doing something completely unexpected! Most people, generally, loved it!

The downsides, however, is that you can hardly see their reactions through it because the holes for the eyes are tiny. It also smells awfully of glue and paint. I've owned it a while, and this hasn't gone away yet. But totally worth it!

5.0 out of 5 stars As good as more expensive brands, 8 Oct 2013

Not amazingly sticky, but then most post-its aren't really, even the more expensive ones. Lovely colours, good size. Fantastic for the price!

4.0 out of 5 stars Good quality, practical, 8 Oct 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
A little expensive, but lasts longer than the cheaper versions I've bought. Slim, which makes it super handy for highlighting a variety of different texts, some of which might have tiny fonts (like journal articles). The bright colours are great, but don't cover up the font so you can't read the text like some cheaper ones. Ink can be quite slow drying, however, so you have to be especially careful not to smudge it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Best toothbrush I've owned, 8 Oct 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This is a fantastic toothbrush. It comes with 5 settings so that you can adapt to your needs. The brush heads are very small, and the brush itself is quite large and slim so that it reaches to the farthest corners of your mouth with relative ease. I love the charging options; either the glass tumbler, or the USB 2.0 travel case, both really stylish and practical. Plus, the battery life is quite long - I use my brush for quite a while in the morning (minimum 3/4 minutes!) and it still lasts two weeks before requiring a charge.

Obviously, this is a really expensive toothbrush. REALLY expensive; replacing the brush heads can cost you about £20 a pop, so you need to consider that when purchasing such a product. It can be quite slippy as well, and you should expect to get toothaste dribbling all the way down your hand at points. Another downside is that it is super loud - my partner describes it as a "drilling" sound...

However, despite that, it does an absolutely fabulous job. I'm pleased and so is my dentist! It's made a noticeable difference to my oral hygiene :)

Quiet: The power of introverts in a world that can't stop talking
Quiet: The power of introverts in a world that can't stop talking
by Susan Cain
Edition: Paperback
Price: £6.29

5.0 out of 5 stars Refreshing and insightful, 8 Oct 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
A fantastic book - and surprisingly a great talking point. It doesn't praise introverts over extroverts, but rather emphasizes the value of a society made up of both types. It bravely delves into how western societies are largely geared towards extroverts, suppressing the qualities of introversion, and looks at how that came about and what the flaws with such a system are. Really well researched and written.

Only issue is the font is very small, which might be a bit of a problem if you have trouble with your eyesight.

Not to the same standard of How to be a Woman, but that's to be expected - it's an entirely different kind of book. It is still, however, absolutely hilarious, thought-provoking, hard-hitting and insightful. One to read and re-read!
