If this was a film it would be a classed as a chick flick, it is superb! It has has the classic storyline full of love, sex, relationships, unrequited love etc with the added humour and characters everyone can relate to. The idea of 'sex with an ex' was absolutely brilliant and i'm just waiting for it to become a real TV show, i'm sure it would attract millions. Darren seems the perfect guy for every woman - shame he doesn't seem to exist in reality! Overall I thought this book was excellent and would recommmend it to any female, specially those getting over heartbreak.

WOW!! This book is brilliant! The main characters are portrayed so well, whilst reading the book you become almost close friends. The detailed descriptions of places, feelings & people allow you to `be' there and feel the tension, share the excitment and taste the fear. The prescence of Daffy in the book is a suberb sideline story which provides something constant throughout the book. The ending was a little vague and took more thought than most other parts but was good all the same. Because of the excellent portrayals of other characters, it is easy to like/dislike them, which makes it easy to realte to Richard and the other main characters. The continuous relationship between Etienne & Francoise is inspiring to any couple - they stuck together through everything, when times were hard & when they disagreed, they were still there for each other. The same can be said for Sally & Bugs and also Richard & Keaty (although this wasn't a sexual realtionship it was a great friendship). I would recommend this book to absolutely everyone, especially those in need of being whisked away to a different world!
